  • Morning all :)

I'm new to the thread, but have been doing my bit, knitting for charity for a few years now. Mostly little preemie baby items, and 4 in squares for a group on facebook, where a lady sews them into blankets or jumpers for an orphanage in Africa.

Last week I managed just 6 squares, hoping to make a dozen this week

Thank you for your replies re knitting while flying. I think I will look into how to do "magic loop" socks and then take them with me, won't need that much space.

As a newbie there are awful lot of terminology here that I don't know. There will be a need for a new thread soon so would it please be possible to collect all these terms (and links to instructions) into the second post (the first post being the one that tells what the thread is about)? Just a thought :o

Welcome newbies - what are the terms that you don't understand Marru? Is it knitting stuff or general forum stuff? I find that I don't undertand a lot of the contractions and initials that I find on forums, but Google can provide an explanation.
SK - hope that the council proves reasonable re the changes. Please don't push your activities over the next few weeks - we want your arm to heal properly!
Have been doing a lot of resting and helping very poorly dog of friend lately so very little woolie stuff occouring, have very nearly finished my (now) giant snood though!

Wow, I've missed lots of stuff while I was having PC problems, :(

I now have a new PC and a new internet service provider, so hopefully no more probs. for some time.

((hugs)) for all who would like one, and kindly thoughts for those in pain.
