Hi all.
Shaz - I'm so glad you've posted; I was worried about you. And, yes, you DO deserve kindness, so please don't be hard on yourself. It's good that Jack has settled so well in his new home, so you can rest assured that you've done the right thing by him.
Mrs Moneypenny - thinking of your brother, his partner and their babies, and sending cuddles their way.
Pippa - thinking of you and your OH.
Jean - long live the rentr!e, eh? I always thought it just applied to schools, but I read somewhere that it applies to the whole of France! I also read in the Connexion paper yesterday that they need two weeks to get over August! Just one bit of our paperwork trail has gone smoothly, though; we have upgraded our house and contents insurance, and I confirmed the quote on Tuesday, and the paperwork arrived yesterday! I shouldn't have been surprised, though, because the lady I dealt with was English!
Well, I'm still recovering from the shock of almost touching a huge sp***r this morning when I was opening up the shutters in my office. Luckily, DH was still at home to deal with it, but it's left me feeling a bit wary. Time to go to the park and get some more conkers, methinks!
It was really cold here first thing but the sun is up and shining so it looks like it will be a lovely day.
Lots of hugs to you all.

Well it started of misty but the sun is on its way..........tramped round 3 fields with the dogs...just to get the circulation moving you understand, checked to see if the deer were in the woods but obviously missed them, too much noise made by said dogs. So I have a bit of work this morning.....after the Porkie Pie success its to be sausages today, oh joy I just hate some of the jobs I get. Mind you, DH is clearing branches from way up at the back of the woods, so I think he has the hardest job.
Ye all have a great day, lots of cuddles and love being sent out from me to you all, will call in again later

Yippee, I`m off this weekend so might just have a wee trip to see what`s what.

Mind you, I`ll just be going to look at it and squish italthough I have been considering trying bamboo needles for a while. Is £4 a pair a good price ? Mind you I was looking at sets on ebay and they were about £17 for several sets............
Been busy the last few days so haven`t had time or energy to post but have been a -lurking.
Socky you did the right thing finding Jack another home. Sometimes we just have to let our head rule our heart. Please don`t feel bad about it and take care of yourself. You`ll soon get that cast off and be knitting like a good`un again - lots to catch up on.
Pippa and OH - thinking about you both and hope the next few weeks pass in a flash and are not too traumatic for you both. How is your wrist now ?
Roamin - go easy there girl. You`ll have those poor doggies tired out trekking round all the fields.
Kathy - is it still peaceful chez mioliere? Are you managing some wooly moments while DH is out of your hair ?
Mrs mp - so sorry to hear of the tough time your brother`s family is having just now, fingers crossed all will be well.
Off to see what to rustle up for feeding time and then sit down for the evening with the wooliness.
By the way, if any of you are Loving Hands members/supporters but maybe haven`t been on the website recently, I am collecting recipes for volume 2 of the LH favourite recipes book.
If you can contribute 1 or 2 recipes please send me details in a pm either through here or LH. Lou would like to have it ready by the end of October for possible Christmas pressies so I need lots of info please.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

Elaine - I've been using bamboo needles and hooks for ages now; I gradually replaced my most-used metal ones and found that the bamboo ones are much more comfortable to use with my tendonitis. I would definitely recommend them. They're warmer, too, which is lovely when the weather is cold! I ws lucky and found some in a charity shop but I have also paid around £3 for a pair, too, and I don't think £4 is too expensive for something that would last for a long time and get a lot of use.
And yes, I am working hard at organising my time this week to free up some spare time for the woolly stuff from next week onwards!
