HI Shaz - sounds as if you have your work cut out with Jack. I was thinking - try giving him an old jumper that you've worn for a while so that it smells of you. You could leave him with it while you go to the loo, and so on. Also, has he got a soft cuddly toy? You could pick one up in a charity shop; all the dogs I've known have loved their own soft toy. I hope you can get him sorted out, for all your sakes! I've just googled and found this http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item/458 It may help with toilet training.

Evening all!
Not just Laura that was quick on the blanket!
socky sorry that the dog is distressed; was he taken straight from mum? If so just may mean that hes adjusting to the change and anxious so follows you to reassure himself?

Oh, Shaz; he will settle down eventually. He just needs to get used to his new home and family. Perhaps it's worth looking in your local area to see about dog training classes? I think I remember you mentioning where in the UK you live, so I've googled 'dog training classes' for that area and will pm you with the link. You might just be able to phone up for advice.

have deleted some of pm's, dont want to delete them all without checking them one by one, in case some contain addresses.
jack cant go to dog training classes, til he has had his second injection, which is two weeks away. dont think i can last that long without sleep.
my parents are saying that i have taken too much on, and should have been content with just the guinea pigs.
am worried about thurs, as i will be away from home all day, as i am taking part in a conference on teen abuse against parents, i am one of the speakers, and am nervous enough as it is, without worrying about jack, was hoping friends or parents would be able to help out, seems everybody is busy that day
feel like life is too hard, maybe its the lack of sleep, but i have been self harming agiain, and seriously think about giving up. poor jack deserves better than me, love him so much xxloves to knit and crochet for others0 -
Hello everyone from a rather cool but sunny corner of France.
Shaz - I do hope you and Jack had a peaceful night. Please don't hurt yourself, and please don't think that Jack deserves better than you - you chose each other so you are meant to be together; you just need to work things out so that they suit you both. If he whines, just let him be, hard though it will be. He'll soon get used to it. Lots of puppies whine when they first move into a new home but, as long as he knows you love him - and you obviously do - he'll soon start feeling happier. Try googling the problems you are having with him; you'll probably find a friendly forum with posters who have lots of good advice gleaned from experiences just like yours.
Well, DH has just left for work, so I need to get a few chores done. Try as I might I couldn't get any woolly stuff done last night; DH needs to arrange for other trades to do work in the house he is working in, so we had lots of phone calls, and I had to hunt around online for a local shot-blaster (found one!), and someone with a grab truck (didn't find one, so I'll have to have another surf today). The customers are very pleased with the work he has done so far, which is great. They are coming over to our house on Sunday to see what he has done here, so I'd better make sure it's tidy!
Anyway, I'll love you and leave you for now, and pop back later. Have a great day, everyone.

I've been trying to update my sig and, as you can see, I get loads of symbols which are making it difficult to type what I need to type! Does anyone know how I can sort it out, please? It's only started happening recently.

Just try to delete the rubbish bits in brackets and then re-apply the colours and weights. I did this with the above by copying and pasting your sig into this message.
Hope this helps.
