Here are some birthday cakes! One for Dawn :bdaycake: and one for Jaqui :bdaycake:

Hope you both had a great day!

Not much to report from here today. I'm finally finishing off the doll for Summer - if I like it, I'll post photos! I also need to make her birthday card then get everything wrapped up so that DS1 can take it all back when he goes home after his visit.

DS2 is in Munich this weekend, on a stag do. My heart skipped a beat when I heard the dreadful news about that stampede in Dusseldorf - what a terrible thing to happen when youngsters just want to have a good time enjoying music. There seems to be so many tragedies this year.

Well, the sun is out at the moment; I hope it doesn't get too hot because DH is plastering the big attic bedroom.

Thanks for the updates - I'll try and get organised and do the update tomorrow.

Hope you all have a good day.

(((Hugs))) to Maytaurus and all who are MIA.

    Morning all;
Finally got going on some crochet and am doing another cushion cover for a friend; mum is doing the shrug pattern as I was getting tied up in knots and shes enjoying it, while I wasnt! Feeling quite fluey and still trying to absorb the work news. My councelling starts again Friday so am hoping that will help me sort things properly and Ill be able to move on.
Lovely wedding on weds which Im looking forward to - got all my things except for a handbag which Ill get this week. Feeling quite fluey so just droppped mum at church and having a quiet day...may even go back to bed!
F1 sorry things are so tough...can reccomend councelling and it may be worth you having some togeather? Sometimes when things are tough it becomes hard to communicate and it becomes a vicious circle? Just a thought...hugs for you all :)
Miol thinking of you and hope you have a lovely time with family...
Looking forward to the challenges; havent been feeling inspired of late with charity stuff so hope there will be sommat to whet my appetite! Off to see if theyre up!
hugs those that need them...feel a bit hopeless at remembering peoples names for which I apologise but people lurking please pop out and say hello!
Just updating to attach piccy of the bell cardi that Ive just finished. Been looking at loving hands for update but new challenges not up yet!
Chalky package on the way to you and seakay have pm'd you! Had a good ole chuck out and sort so feel virtuous!

ISOM that little cardi so pretty, and I love the colour. Hope you feel a little better soon. Wonder if it's reaction to everything that's been happening lately.
f1 widow you sound a little happier, I do hope that's so.

yes kinsey think it is - think my body has been holding its breath iykwim! Had a fairly quiet day today...
Thanks for comments re the cardi...the pic makes it look pinker than it is irl - its more of a plum purple; cheapie yarn can look it up if people would like; well I managed the pattern F1 but did get stuck on one bit as debbie bliss expects us to be telepathic me thinks!

closer piccy! I didnt do mine in cotton as wanted as wash and wear plus my lapel looked silly so I sewed it down and it looks much neater! Think the recipient will love it!
Sorry forgot to say happy bday jacqui and dawn!

Beautiful cardi, ISOM - really beautiful. I love the colour.

Kinsey - thanks for your kind words about the booties and hairband. I've just wrapped them up along with all her other pressies - this is one of them crochetprojects014.jpg back and front

crochetprojects017.jpg The poor thing had arms growing out of her neck until DH pointed out that people don't have arms growing out of their necks. I tried to pretend it looked alright but, in the end, unpicked and re-positioned them!

Anyway, hope you all have a lovely evening.
