Puppetlady - I can only echo your words about Chalky and Mrs Twins!

Chalky - you're so wicked, but I must confess that there are occasions when I leave my hoover out so that, if DH comes in unexpectedly, I can look like the perfect housewife! What looks really good is to leave the chairs on top of the kitchen table, and keep the mop and bucket handy - then it looks like thorough cleaning! The first time I did this, DH said 'you're still at it, then?' Oh, I was so proud!

Anyway, in answer to your question, I shall go and add the new category to the update spreadsheet now, so that it's ready!

I think Jean's away in her camper van, so might not always be able to post. She hasn't been on the Loving Hands Daily Quiz for a few days, either. Jean - hurry back; we miss you!

Another perfect perfect day here again. I hope the sun is shining for you all. I think I can now squeeze in some crochet time for an hour or so in the sun.

    KathyXX

Edited to say that I've added KYSTGYSE to the spreadsheet, and added 'emergency squares' in brackets, so that we all know what it's for!

Any lurkers out there, please come and join us. We love having new members. To find out what we do, please go back to page 95 of this thread, post 1885. There's lots of info there, but please feel free to ask any questions!

Linda, can I be put on the KYSTGYSES list please?
I usually have a few squares in one of my bags/boxes as sometimes that's all I can manage to do, they're simplz and something even I can usually manage on a bad day.
The only thing is ... if someone asks for them, would one of you send me a quick pm, with me not being able to keep up with everythin?

morning all, lots of crochet granny squares here, i am addicted to them, as they are easy and dont require any brain work lol

just had a phone call from our new social worker, to inform us, that she will no longer working with us, as we have been reffered to complex needs team, about time too, asked for this many times, but fobbed off with replies such as we dont meet criteria. funny how solicitors letters, pointing out the facts, and quoting the law can change there minds, i should have sought legal advice many years ago.

off to my church group for the day with friends, will say a prayer for everyone, to keep you all safe and well

Maytaurus - thanks for your lovely post. As Chalky has said, I'm sure we'll ALL be letting you know when there's an appeal for squares! I like the idea of calling it a 'shout', too, Chalky!

Shaz - that's the best news I've seen on here for ages! It's just such a shame that you weren't listened to in the first place, but at least now you and your boys will be referred to the best team. I hope that things really start to progress from now on - it's about time!

Lovely day, again; the only gloomy bit was having to go out and pay the electricity bill! Why do people insist on sending bills, eh?! Still, I had to pay it in an office in another village, and it made for a lovely drive in the country, so I shall try and turn it into a positive, although it's hard to keep your eyes on the road when the gardens and windowboxes are looking so very lovely and French!

Anyway, another thing to spoil the day is the ironing; I confess to a slight (but only slight!) feeling of shame when DH left the house in a crumpled t-shirt! He said I don't need to iron them because he's not exactly working in a posh office, but that's besides the point!

    Have a great day, everyone.

shaz im so pleased to see that it looks like you are finally getting the right kind of help and support

straight in and out at the drs yesterday so no time to knit. got to wait till next week now for my results.
didnt get any done either last night as youngest had a concert we had to have him there for 7pm and didnt get back home till 10.30 as we had to nip in tesco for bread on the way home.
as you ca imagine he was a tired little boy this morning when i was trying to wake him for school. cant believe a school concert that had some primary age children taking part could go on so late

will try and make a start on a square over the weekend

hope all are well and have a good weekend

kathy i think ill have to join you with a stint of ironing:o mine is building up again.

Hi everyone - I hope you're all having a good day.

It's lovely here, again. DH is out finishing off the job he's been doing all week, so I've got my own choice of music on the CD player (Swan Lake, which I love and he can't understand!), and this afternoon we are off to a summer fayre at a nearby village. I've done some baking this morning - what DH calls his 'Saturday' cake, and a tea loaf, so that will keep us going for a few days.

Mrs Moneypenny - did you do your ironing yesterday? I did, but I suspect my mountain was just a hill compared to yours! When the children were both still at home, I used to do it every morning before I went to work but now that there's just the two of us, I tend to save it up and do it once or twice a week. Even though I don't have nearly as much as I used to, I still hate it!

Anyway, I've done two Japanese squares, and one Emergency Square - just basic ones, but they are easy to do so I'll keep them going for a while, rather than try and tackle something that needs a brain!

Anyway, I hope you all have good day today. Please accept hugs - as many as you want; I have lots here to share.
