2 squares for Ethiopia and others (?)

not done anything else for the records but have crocheted squares together and now starting on a boarder so learning all the time.
Looking at my blankie and at Mrs Twins, I notice that she seems to have a boarder around each square as well as around the whole article, which would be a good way of ensuring the the sewing together yarn doesn't show - will maybe try to work out how to do that next time.

Just caught up with your posts Shaz, you certainly never have a dull moment, but I bet you wish you did. Your poor boys, hope Daniel is a bit better. The notebooks sound like a great idea. Wishing you all well, and lots of hugs.

mioliere, things running around the attic, eek!

sock-knitter - Daniel is a top lad throwing the cover over the ironing - I too have followed by example and thrown towels over the piles :rotfl::rotfl:

DS was grounded for the rest of the day from lunch today as he was being rather rude to me - we then went up to his room to sort through some drawers as a penalty - oh where do the moods come from! - its no excuse but i think he is tired - two nights running he has been late to bed - he went to a neighbours little boys for a birthday party last night and the night before is swimming night and did not get in until just gone 9.00 - he has been allowed no tv or computer - he is bathed and ready for bed but is doing some hobby work with DH

Its now tea - it just seems like the minute you finish breakfast its lunch its tea and no sooner do you finish clearing up its bed time just one long eating and washing up and picking up session

Do you think i sound a bit grumpy or just cheesed off :rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry moan over will try and be more cheery tomorrow - DS has been a little waring this weekend - hopefully early night will sort that out oh and being at school tomorrow xxx

    Hi everyone

Shaz, I don’t blame you giving early presents. If it gets you a little peace, then it’s well worth it. Hope things stay calm for you for a while.
Seakay, it makes it loads easier to border each square. Wish I’d thought of it before I finished my 36 squares for baby blanket, it seemed to take ages to do them after. I’ve learned my lesson!
F1, lucky you to see a heron so close up. Beautiful.
Kathy, hope you see the end of your visitor in the attic soon, it’d give me the creeps.
Chalky, have a good time in Barnstaple next week.

I’ve not had much time to myself the last few days, been sorting my stash! Speaking of which, can anyone find a use for 2 x 100g balls of black craft yarn? It's sort of like chenille'y type yarn. Going to try and sort out a bit next week, after I've been to Lush to stock up on essentials.
Thinking of all the mia's and anyone feeling poorly.
    Love and hugs to everyone

Good evening one and all. Love to all. I know there are some people with their hands overflowing, so sending lots of gentle thoughts to you.
F1 Sorry DS has had a bad day -- hope things soon calm down
Shaz Please have a good gentle week, you so need it.
Jean You are always here with such lovely advice from rats to hats. Thank you.
Psso Hope all is well with you and that DS IS MAKING A FULL RECOVERY
Salome Hope some semblance of normality is returning after your exciting trip to America
ISOm I hope you feel really settled at work now and all is going well
Kathy Will be thinking about you during this next week as "operation kitchen" starts.

Wel Dmil was feeling a bit flat after all the celebrations last weekend so we went out for a carvery at lunch time.
Since then I have been doing a lot os finishing off so that there are some things to take up for DDIL'S new venture with the Etsy shop.
So lots of quiet clicking going on.

I have been thinking about the mobius cowl and I thought I would just knit a long strip, cast off, put in a twist and then sew it up and there you have it " a cheats mobius cowl" with no circular needles to be seen.

So for DDIL's birthday present I am knitting a pair of wristwarmers ( nearly finished ) and a cheats version of the cowl.
Will post some pictures when its all finished.
Try and do a good deed every day.

Hi everyone - just popping in quickly for now. I'm having internet problems - again! - and keep losing my connection. I'm going to phone the helpline up to try and get it sorted.

Hope you are all well. I'd better go before the line goes AWOL again!
