ginnyplease look after yourself and not spread yourself as thin as grease proof or you will not have the strength to knock the skin off a rice puffing.... As my Grandma used to say!!
pippaso glad you had a lovely holiday
Kathyhow are the viewings going?
jeanhave you undressed yet?
Well, I have been to bed but I am so excited to have the family under my roof I could not sleep . So, thought I would get up and have a " chat,"
Well, aunt suddenly rallied thus afternoon and had a cup of tea. We shall see. She is such a character. The solicitor was in touch today and EVERY single thing is organised even donating her body to Science!
The family arrived at about 11.00 this morning ... William gas grown so much in every way. He was 3 today and declared it to be his best birthday ever! He walked onto the plane last night told the stewardess " I am 3 today and I am going to visit Grandma!"
Well the captain called out his name and that it was his birthday and everyone on the plane clapped! And they wrote a birthday message in his screen. Brilliant.
So the house has been checked... Everything was deemed to be in place except I hadn't brought the box of books downstairs! It has all been turned out, played with and sorted. Now there is a complete Brio train track on the landing as it " will be needed FIRST thing in the morning!!" Or so the young man says! So he has his new onesie on, his monster quilt on his bed and they are all fast asleep. Including Andy who was up at 4.50 am to be at Heathrow with birthday banner and balloons when they landed.
I send love to each and every one of you. I know Christmas is a hard time for lots if us who are missing family loved ones. A big hug is included in the best wishes to you all xxxxTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Hi, everyone. I hope you are all keeping well. I am fine but feeling very tired these days. Not really sure why but I think I'm still a bit down, and just fed up with being here when I just want to be back at home and with the family.
Ginnyknit - I hope you get through the funeral.
Oh, Jean - poor DH. He's not been having a very good year, has he? I hope he is healing well from his latest mishap.
Chalky - Happy birthday for William; how lovely for you to be able to celebrate it with him. Glad the aunt is feeling a bit better.
Elaine - I hope it doesn't get too cold for you.
Wondercollie - did you decide what to make with that leftover sock yarn
Nursemaggie - I hope your Christmas planning is going well
Seakay - I hope you are settling in now.
Mrs Moneypenny - I hope you are managing to take some time out for yourself!
Pippa - glad you had a lovely holiday, and I am so happy that your mum is settling in so well and is obviously being well cared for. My mum gets more and more vague when I talk to her on the phone. I know she is being looked after, and is safe and warm, so that reassures me, but I hate what Alzheimer's is doing to her. Her health, apart from that and her glaucoma, is good and she is putting on a bit of weight, which is also good because there's not much to her, but the thought that she will forget more and more as time goes on is a sad one.
My DS2 and his family moved into their new home yesterday; I can't wait to see it for real. I've been walked around it on Skype but it will be lovely to be there with them. The girls are longing to show us the secret garden they have there! They were more exited about that than anything else.
Anyway, the first of our house viewings was yesterday morning, a young single woman who seemed to like the house and asked all the right questions, so we shall see about that. We've been there so many times before! The second viewing is this morning at 9.30, which is a bit early but I don't mind because I have a lot of errands to run today, so at least once they've been, I can get on with the rest of the day.
I have done little woolly stuff simply because the time just runs out on me; I am halfway through one of a pair of wrist-warmers that I am making for a friend, then I shall have to decide what to do next but at the moment I am just concentrating on Christmas.
Anyway, I should have done the update yesterday, but we had friends over for lunch and they stayed longer than expected, not that I minded because they are great company. I hope to get it done today.
Will call back later.
Hugs to you all.

:j Hello, I'm back !
Been without internet for nearly a week, had to wait for replacement router to arrive so got lots to catch up with.
Hope you are all well and all Christmas preparations done.Have some serious tidying up to do here or Santa will be tripping over all the stuff. Don't want to be responsible for him breaking a leg and having to go to A&E.
Chalky - Lovely to see William enjoying his birthday, if he's anything like little J he'll be sooooo excited and counting the sleeps till Christmas. We'll have to scrape them off the ceiling soon.
Ginnyknit - you'll be the same with your little Michael as well. What would we do without our little chaps to keep us going ?
Off to read back and see what I've been missing.
Back later.xFully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.
