help please
I have been making some little bibs with my sewing machine. And loving it but I have been asked to make a set with popper fastenings instead of the Velcro I usually use.
Does anyone know what I need to put these poppers in place in a safe and secure way .
I do not want to sew them on but fasten them onto the material.
Any advice would be gratefully receivedTry and do a good deed every day.0 -

No sew Press Studs............ they exist in metal -come along with everything you need just add a hammer, and plastic much easier to use. I used them on Willaims book got them from a company in the UK as they don't sell them here!

Thank you . I am wondering which ones I need as they will only be used on lightweight cotton fabrics.
Also is there anywhere I can buy big rolls of cotton thread.Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Chalky - I've just found this on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Neotrims-Wholesale-StrengthDurable-Functional-Fantastic/dp/B00EDM3V8O/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1399871474&sr=8-3&keywords=snap+tape
It needs sewing on but you can do it on the machine rather than sewing each one individually by hand.
I found this, too: http://www.amazon.co.uk/100PCS-9-5mm-Buttons-Fasteners-Pliers/dp/B00G45BY5U/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1399871724&sr=8-3&keywords=press+studs
and these that would be easy to sew on by hand, like buttons: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hemline-Snap-Fasteners-Plastic-Delrin/dp/B0044ZQ3C6/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1399871781&sr=8-13&keywords=press+studs
Here are some large (1000 meter) rolls of sewing thread: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GUTERMANN-POLYESTER-SEWING-THREAD-COTTON-1000-METRE-CHOICE-OF-COLOUR-/400548251109?pt=UK_Thread_Floss_1&var=&hash=item5d428945e5

We are in the middle of the most awful hailstone deluge! So if I disappear you will know why.
Mrs Moneypenny - you don't need a camera - you can still take part - you would see the group but we would only see a blank screen where it would be you, but you could certainly join in - this happened to my DH (he is still on page one of the IT Manual), till I fixed it for him, you will need to download skype tho'.
Finished and hung Sister in Laws curtains so that was my job for today. Perhaps I will be able to get stuck into the bedroom painting now I can clear out the clutter from there - will see how my week goes, looks like rain all week.
Have a wonderful day ladies, lots of love and cuddles to you all
