If there are that many reconditioned ones, to me it would indicate that there is a problem with that model! Will definately be getting in touch to have a word with McCain when mine arrives.

I also recived a recondtioned one, How appaling is that the box was ripped and the seal broken, Ive never won a prize like that to send a second had prize seems appaling to me.

If they know (and how long have they known) that they haven't got any Canons, why are they still showing Canons as prizes. Why haven't they updated it to show prize as Reconditioned Nikon. Surely they are breaking some rule by advertising a prize they know they haven't got.

I think you should all let them know as McCain have probably paid someone for new goods and they are also being had over, any clues with the packaging on who is actually sending them out?

Most companies do have 3rd parties running the competitions for them, sometimes advertising agencies or pr firms. Will be interesting to see.

I still have the number on my mobile and a search on Google indicates the company is Promotional Manufacturing Limited in Luton, Beds.

My mam appears happy with her phone, I set it up and showed her how to use it (much to the disappointment of my 16 year old brother, who is not speaking to either of us now coz he wanted it hehe)

Sorry to hear that they are sending out 2nd hand cameras, that is awful. Hopefully they will do something about it if everyone complains about it. Fair enough if it was stated in the t&c's but its not. That truly is shocking for a big company to do such a thing. I honestly do hope you all get something sorted out, let us know how you get on x
