I don't think anyone is being ungrateful. If the prize is not new then surely they should state this in their T&C's?

I won a camera for my friend but she hasnt rung to say anything has arrived yet, I know she got the phone call last week though. I will feel a bit embarrassed if she receives a reconditioned one. Whether they are as new or not it is like sending out a 2nd hand prize?

This seems well cheeky of Mccains... i dont think you should wait to see what happens with Broadpaws... I think you should ALL send a complaint and maybe it will get resolved quicker if its a high volume of moans!

bah! My camera's arrived today, both refurbished .. I was going to give one to another comper who told me she wanted one, don't think she'd appreciate a 2nd hand one

The guy who called me about the camera said by the way we weren't able to get hold of any of the canon cameras so we'll be sending a Nikon. I've been told it's an upgrade...

I don't think we should feel bad that we are complaining... as people have said they haven't mentioned it in the t's & c's and im sure people would be less likely to buy the chips if they knew they were used prizes!!

Yes , me too , I have emailed them and will not break the seal until I have heard from them. So I don't know what it is like, but the box is quite bashed and scuffed - obviously not new.

This is shocking. Are the cameras coming direct from McCain or a third party supplier? Perhaps McCain aren't aware of it.

I would definitely complain about it though.
