You've already said you can't afford it because you get HB, and because you don't want to share the tax payer is footing the bill.
So quick to judge
Perhaps the OP and/or her OH is already a tax payer?
No need then to start whinging your hard earned taxes are being wasted
OP you can get a 12 bedroom house if that's what you want
Of course as has been already pointed out you are only entitled to a 3 bed so will recieve the 3 bed rate
You will have to make up the difference for any additional cost incurred due to the extra bedroomFuture Mrs Gerard Butler

Not at all, even if the OP pays taxes they still have a house bigger than their needs. I rented a 2 bedroomed house until my children were too old legally to sleep in the same room, then I had to move. As a child I shared a room with my 2 sisters. The OP has already said it's because they don't want to share, so if they can share put don't want to, they should pay for that luxury themselves.Moving onto a better place...Ciao :wave:0 -

you mean instead of taxpayers footing the bill?
I refer you back to my original post
Unless of course the OP doesn't pay taxes in which case I will take it all back

Jees! what a bunch of over-opinionated nanny-state-cultured whiners!!! Is that soapbox going to take all that weight?.....one at a time please.
Thanks to Morgan_Ree for reading the post properly before pointing out -

I thought I might take a walk to the park later - perhaps I should ask for your opinion first?!
I dont need to justify myself to you lot and I wont but as most - not all of you, are using sarcasm and flippancy as a first language then let me converse fully with you - firstly - I pay my taxes?!! Would I be asking a question about HB if I wasnt "in the system". Secondly - If I was unemployed and lived in a council house and sponged off of my local council and sought a 5 bedroom house, would your response have been any different?....I would guess not. Yet You saw and relished the opportunity to hide behind your pc's and "tut" whilst wagging your fingers......but why? Im not asking anyone else to "live" as I do !
I CHOOSE to rent privately and you can stick that..........wherever you like really, I have my own reasons for working 21 hours which no one bothered to ask - you all jumped the gun! Tut Tut yourselves!!
I CHOSE to have 4 children, I might CHOOSE to rent a bigger house.I also chose to pose a question on here where I presumed (wrongly?) that I would receive sound advice! With the exception of a couple of posts - I was sadly wrong.
Its a good job I didn't ask that question on fox hunting that occurred to me or I would be in for some serious "flak"....good luck to anyone else who asks a question on here if does not fit into everyone else's circumstances or little "boxes".0 -
Your posting history is interesting OP and shows that you are always ready to take money from the system and then try to get out of paying it back when wrongly given to you by blaming the system everytime while admitting that you didnt make every effort to correct mistakes when they were made.
Morgan ree, the tax of working 21 hours per week is how much? For four kids, it certainly wouldnt cover the HB, tax credits etc, that this poster gets.0 -
oh whatever, I cant be arxxd with this -
what has that got to do with this? If you're really that bored and want to dig some more then go find a cure for cancer and do us all a favor - it might keep you off of forums like these and give people a chance to get straight answers to straight questions. I can tell from the way that you worded that post - I think you got a buzz from typing that didn't you?!....oh dear.
If you pay someone - you maybe able to find out my previous address's and perhaps even my ex girlfriends name.....that should be worth some gossip to you. Next time you pop to the shops...get a life.
Don't bother replying because I'm not going to enter into playground arguments. so you you wont evoke another response.:p
Thank you to those that actually helped! Good luck to you to - I feel you may need it on here!0 -
It is actually beneficial for children to have their own room, most of us like our own space and privacy. I think a 15 year old should only be sharing with an 11 year old if its an absolute necessity, a 15 year old will want to be able to get changed in peace, will be dealing with periods, will want to, er, explore her own body etc.0

A three bed would be more than enough, in fact when we were kids (I know not strictly relevant now) but some families with 4 kids had a two bed or a two bed and a box room! If you can afford the lixury of a 4 bed fine, but until you can pay all your rent by yourself you will not be further subsidised with more rooms than you need!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.
Encouragement always works better than judgement.0
