My HTC came with a twitter app called peep0
-
Ah, that's what peep is
She's on twitter now, but via the internet browser and it's giving her more options that way.
Think she may not need a twitter app after all
Is there a reliable facebook chat app? I researched and found Meebo and eBuddy, but not using social networking/chat messaging, i'm not sure what i'm looking at.0 -
I was using Seesmic for Twitter, but I downloaded the official Twitter app for Android and it's pretty good.0
-
Never used facebook so can't help there0
-
She downloaded 3gwatchdog and set that up no problem, so she's learning. She'll have to live without facebook chat when away from the PC, for now. Don't want to encourage her to go on that all day0
-
She can update her facebook status using Friendstream which is built in. It collates updates from Facebook, Flickr and Twitter.
There should be an inbulit facebook app called 'facebook'.
here's a link to the manual which explains everything.

When an app has finished downloading and installing she should see an icon at the top lef tof the screen. Downloading apps should only take a couple of minutes. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Friendstream is only showing Twitter at the moment it seems.
The facebook app is working, but no chat...
Thanks for the manual link - only got a quick start guide with the phone.
The 3gwatchdog app apparently did just like you said.
Now, any ideas how to transfer contacts from her old o2 phone, to this new phone?

Easiest way to get contacts in is via Gmail. If she can connect her old phone to a PC and get the contacts out, Gmail can import them from a CSV file as well as a few other supported address book formats.0

She has a pretty old mobile - nokia 3220 I think and she has no connection/lead to connect it to the internet. She can send e-mails via her phone, so maybe their is a way to send them via gmail and then import to her new phone...something to investigate.0
