well as i suggested that for a test before doing anything else you woudl have to plug the coax back into the tv. you could then by a splitter / booster and have an extra coax for your usb stickEver stop to think and forget to start again?0

Enter your post code into this site to see what kind of aerial is recommended for your location. These things do work BUT they will only work if provided with sufficient signal, which usually means from a proper aerial unless you can see the transmitter! Digital either works or it doesn't.

OK so it says I need Amplified extra hi-gain .. So would that actually need to be connected to my USB freeview thing? Or do I connect it in somewhere else and the ariel with the tv USB thing will pick it up lol?
And is there any chance you could find what I need on eBay, or tell me exactly what I need to buy?0 -

No it would go into the TV it's just I'm not sure how the TV will get Freeview from a USB lol, does it need to be tuned?0 -

Aerials don't have to go on the roof but at least with a proper aerial you stand some chance of getting working, even if you put it on the top of a wardrobe etc.
