The point is Apple sells up 'security' and it's not necessarily accurate and can lead to a false sense of security. : -)

So do microsoft and for that matter HTC and Nokia, all have flaws, as I said if you are sensible you make sure you are secure, remember real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

I could not agree more, the problem tends to stem from those Appletards who have the view that all that extra cash layout has somehow bought them an inpenitrable fortresses. But you are right 'real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time' and it's not just a section of the Appletard community that do this, there are a good number of Linux bobs who assume just having Linux makes them 'secure' too. I do like that phrase Jim 'real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time', I now need to wipe up the coffee from my keyboard thanks to you ;-)

JUst as an update I ran the JB, downloaded a few things via cydia as well. need to really sit down and see what apps are about. Biggest thing I could do with is being able to transfer avi's to it. At the moment I convert them using format factory but it takes about 50% of the film time and transfer them via itunes. I tried using file app pro but it says it can't play the file.
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the Ramada/Days Inn BRG thread.

Try the spirit jailbreak on your 3GS first, did a friends 3GS with spirit the other day and it took a total of 4 minutes. Great little tool that makes jailbreaking a breeze.

If you're not happy or it keeps crashing, plug it in and hit restore in itunes. Simple.

you can put them back to factory settings but you cant get off the down load icon that jail breaks it so any guarantee will become void

There's bound to be a way of doing it. Some spotty 14 year old will work it out.

Yes you can and that I can guarantee as I have done it. Quite simple really you do a backup immediately you get it and do a restore of that first it gets rid of all new programs done after that initial date then wipes everything before restoring the original apps from memory.

I usually convert to mp4, have a search around for stuff to do, a good prog is installious it lets you download virtually everything.
