this is a nice, easy to follow version from the bbc

they are also very nice if you add a pinch of mixed spice, cinnamon or nutmeg into the mix before cooking

I'd say "pen-bloy-th happis" with the "th" as in "the" rather than "thin".

My 8 year old daughter said it beautifully with no prompting from me thanks to your phonetic help.:T . Roll on next month when its Mamgu's penblwydd.

Righto... have been brushing up for my trip to Angelsey on the 22nd September. What's the chances of me having to say "Stop! police slow happy birthday"? :D

Also... how great does Welsh sound in a Lancashire accent? :o

well if we re-jig it a bit, so it reads "stopiwch! penblwydd hapus, heddlu araf"

it almost makes some sort of sense. although, when you throw the lanc accent into the equation :p ..... :D

  • Can I ask a question of you Welsh geniuses?

A client has the following motto: Y FYNO DYW Y FYDD - she corrected this from y fyno dwy y fydd but did not know what it meant- something about god. Can anyone tell me what it means and if it is spelled correctly?

    Thanks for any help.
