Not sure at the moment we have always had labradors, so that would be the natural choice for us, but hubby had a border collie before we got together, he also likes spaniels, so i'm thinking hubby will choose one of those 3, hubby works on farms so tend to go for working dogs.
Flapjack recipe
225g/8oz butter
225g/8oz sugar
75g/3oz syrup
275g/10oz porridge oats.
melt together butter, sugar and syrup, stir in oats, mix well, pour into lined baking tin, press flat bake in oven for 35mins (160'c/gas3.
whilst still warm cut into squares.
I sometimes also chuck in a handful of raisans, apricots or choc chips.0 -
Managed to sell an item for £2.20 on ebay yesterday.
Sent hubby to Tesco for oats, 3 bags which should have come to just over £2, he managed to spend a further £5 on Carp:mad:.
Been at work this morning, nothing exciting, have just not really felt right since going back in september, its silly really its a good job, perfect hours, but just feel something is lacking.0 -
Hi Pennywise, wow ive so much to catch up on!
Firstly well done on getting to the half way point for the dolls house. Ive tried the saving thing with Park this year, but I suppose this way youve got it for free
!
I love how exciting you get when DH rings and says hes working late so the farmers wife will feed him haha!!! Wish that would happen with my DH hehe!!
We have a chocolate labrador, hes absolutely adorable but is hard work especially with the 2 young ones. DH walks him though as theres no way on this earth I could possibly fit that into my schedule too!! Have you thought anymore about it? Am I dreaming this up or have you already got one dog?
The kids absolutely love him though, he did come first so I suppose to them it would be odd if he wasnt around. Dreading the day anything happens to him
.
Anyway, best get on. Hope your ebay bits have got bids on xMummytogirls x0 -

It's the quick onset of autumn that has made you feel like that.
I'm sure you will soon start to feel better as it is a job with the perfect hours and when you have little ones that is a bif consideration:)Pay as much as you can in 2011- £3688.54/£6000Pay as much as you can in 2012 - £3190.96/£6000LBM - August 2010 - £19202.30Current - August 2012 - £11803.68Paid so far - £7398.620 -
Thanks o2, think your right its the time of year, i don't think it helps that we have so long off in the summer.
Mummy we have 2 dogs a black labrador, who i love to pieces, she is lovely and placid and no bother at all, also have a terrier who is a grumpy old s*d, who i also love dearly, both are fab with the kids. We are lucky as hubby works on farms he can take them with him, not so much the terrier anymore as he is getting on in years and can't manage all day on the farm, but labbie is only 4 and she loves running behind the quad bike, she then flakes out in front of the fire in an evening:).0 -
Forgot to add its been a NSD, WOOO HOOOOOOOO.0

Hi mummy, regarding mince meat slice all i do is make up a big batch of shortbread, divide in 2, lay one half on a baking sheet, cover with mincemeat and lay other half of shotbread on top and bake, really easy, yummy eaten cold, or eaten hot with custard:D.
:(Have woken up this morning and my head is pounding and i'm full of snot and keep sneezing every 2 minutes, hoping to feel bit better once painkillers have kicked in and i've had a shower, maybe this is why i've not been feeling 100% recently and a bit down.
Just at work this morning, do have a meeting at lunchtime i'm hoping it doesn't last more than half an hour.
Today i need to pay for kids sports - £6.0 -
I officially feel carp, can't stop sneezing. Having a quick cuppa and painkillers before i go and pick up kids from sportsclub.
Forgot i needed to pay for DS football club in half term, £45 but its 5 days of footie and training from 9 until 4, he is football mad and its the only thing he ever wants to do, he is a really active boy and would probably cost me just as much over the week taking him various places to burn energy, will drop a cheque thrugh guys door on way to picking kids up.
Suppose to be having cottage pie for tea, but i really cannot muster up the energy to make it, might end up being a chippie tea:(, which is naughty i know.
Strange mornimg at work, had a meeting, head was there and we have been told there are going to be changes, but can't tell us what yet as she needs to talk to relevent people, so why say anything at all to us, its just caused us all to feel uneasy and wonder what is happening:mad:.0 -
Decided not to go to chippy as even that seemed too much of an effort, kids had cheeseburger in a bun for tea, not the healthiest tea i know, but i feel rotten, gave them strawbs and melon for pud and they can have a bowl of cereal before bed. so i am officaially a bad mummy i do actually feel guilty about not giving them a good tea.
Forgot to mention earlier that a had spent £2 on hair bobbles for DD, don't know what she does with them but is forever losing them.
Now need to go and work out what hubbies having for tea.0
