Hello, have just sat and read your whole diary and you have really spurred me on to get my butt into gear. Your doing great. I have subscribed!0

Oh, you're making me drool with all those goodies!
Sorry to hear about the budget, though. I saw you have bread flour. I have started doing home made bread buns as an alternative to school dinners - which we can't really afford - and they go down really well. At least it's a way to get my kids to eat some real food! LOL. They are old enough to buy junk with pocket money and won't eat sandwiches (they're teenagers, 'nuff said?!) but I got the bread mix really cheaply at Approved Food. Don't know if they still have it but it might be worth a try?
Edit: I just looked at their website - no white bread mix at the moment but they have wholemeal bread flour cheaply and also Naan mix.Miggy

:DHi smarties, thankyou and welcome.
Hi miggy thanks for the info will take a look at approved foods later on.
Need to go and pick kiddies up soon as they are still at school at sports club, Have spent today on a safeguarding children course, it was a refresher as i have previously done it in the past, not the nicest of courses to go on as its about looking for signs of abuse:( when you work with kiddies, on the plus side did have lots of free coffee, cakes and a nice buffet lunch:D.
Have been sent a free delivery code from asda, which i may just use as i'm working all day everyday this week (think of the money, think of the money) so will not have chance to go shopping unless i take 2 little hurberts with me and that will just end up costing me a fortune as they are always tired and whingy after school, will then use last sainsbury £12 off £60 spend on saturday, hopefully then i will be stocked up for the month and will only need fruit and veg.
Another party invite yesterday for DS so need to buy a pressie for that its not until a week on Sat, so will pop into home bargains after going to sainsburys, will also pop into cheapy card shop that is near by as well as last time i was in they had an offer of 7 card for £1:) bargain.0 -
Hubby just rang to say he is flat out at work and will probably be late, not to worry about tea as the farmers wife will feed him:j, so nice easy cheap tea of boiled egg and toastie soilders for us then:D.0

Well an amazon voucher i had ordered back in the begining of august has been emailed to me, finally at the half way point for DD dolls house fund, having said that the one she wants is £70 and the rest was for furniture for it but i'm now wondering if i would be better off getting the furniture off ebay as amazon postage prices can be really silly.0

Well done on getting half way, thats ace

NSD for me today and have worked all day and took lunch/snacks with me.
cars bleeping at me for petrol, so will do that tommorrow, at least its payday tommorrow, not that its going to be a brilliant wage cos of summer hols, no overtime.0 -
Hi Penny wise,
I've just sat here for 2 hours reading your entire thread!
We are in the same boat in a lot of ways, I too am a TA in a special school, I have 3 children, 2 of which are a year apart and drive me mad!!
You've inspired me to keep going, Payday for me too today but It's already accounted for and 100.00 less than I was hoping for. (still paying emergency tax so should get it back in the end!)
Take care

Thanks CCL, 2 hours:eek: wow have i rambled on that much:rotfl:.
Work is hard work at the moment and i'm feeling it,my kids and kids at work are playing up somehing cronic and i'm at the end of my tether, don't know why i'm feeling so down at the moment:(, anyway its nearly another week over and then it the weekend, will probably fel better after a lie in and a lazy day on sunday.
Made a mad dash to Tesco during lunch hour and spent £20 on fruit, veg, yoghurts and bread flour, was no way we could last till Sat, oh and my new month for grocery spends starts today, i only have £150 to spend this month:eek:, so will be tight, this is without milk as i budget seperatly for that as i get it from milkman.
I also put £20 of petrol in car, it was running on fumes.
Postie brought me and kids our library cards, signed up online at the weekend, can't believe i havn't done it sooner:mad:, anyway told kiddies that tommorrow after school i will take them to get some books they are really excited, so am i actually, read my last book on holiday last month and havn't read a book since as i couldn't justify the cost of them, now i can start snuggling under blanket on sofa with a good book for nothing.
Postie also brought a bottle of shower gel to test:D, so another freebie.0 -
TFI FRIDAY:j
Its blooming freezing here, i'm already in jamies and have jkt spuds cooking away for tea.
Glad this weeks over, totally pants, feel really down as if i'm going to burst into tears every five minutes, but ha ho i'll get over it.
Postie brought a free cat food sachet and 50p voucher, so free grub for cat tonight:D.
Managed a NSD today so thats good.
Been to library and kids got loads of books out, DS is currently in bed reading Dr who, at least they will have loads to read if its a pants weekend weather wise, also have DVDs to rent there so have told kiddies next time we go they can choose one.
Need to order dog food as pets at home are offering free delivery at moment and 10% first order never ordered off them before, but they have the dog food we buy on offer, so with 10% and free delivery will make it so much cheaper, will order 4 bags and store in the shed.0
