Well hubbys wages were an admin error:mad: or something and will be in his account monday, they better be as mortgage goes out then, i have transfered everything bar £10 into hubbys account (bills account) to cover DD today, have kept £10 incase i need groceries.
Had really bad nights sleep as this has really made me relise that we have to sort out our debt out and cannot live like this, we should have enough money put aside for emergencies.
Have £6.71 in purse this should cover ebay parcels i need to send today.
Run out of cakes and biccys, so will bake today as i have plenty of stuff in, thankfully i did a big shop last week.0 -
Halifax cc and post office cc arrived so will update sig, at least they are both going down slowly.0

Hope the payments are made okay today! I don't have an emergency fund either, and wish I did, but every time I think about saving up some money, I think about hwo I could use it to clear my debt.

Hi Adam, i'm the same, but i really think we need to have enough money put aside that is at least enough to cover 1 mortgage payment (750) but how we do that i don't know:(. I really feel i have let my children down, how can i teach them to be good with money, when i'm carp myself.0

Hey, you got your tense mixed up - you mean you WERE crap with money! You're doing everything now to fix that, and are sensible with money now!
By realising your mistakes you're going to give your children a better head start than you know. When I was growing up, I never received any real financial advice from my parents. In fact it was my Dad whom suggested that I take a car on finance. Since then my debt has always been a problem, from the age of about 21.
By learning from your mistakes now, you can pass on these valuable lessons - that I never received - to your children and hope they don't make the same mistakes. Being open and honest about money should help them

Im with adam you WAS bad with money but now you know your mistakes and are fixing them so your children have a better life
They will see how good you are now and you will be able to tell them how you have had bad times and let them learn from you not to make their own...

(If took bigger lump sum = 60.35K or 47.6%)
4) FI Age 60 income target £17.1/30K 57% (if mortgage and debts repaid - need more otherwise) (If bigger lump sum £15.8/30K 52.67%)
