I have to say, I am a bit late in the day, but felt that I had to post as reading through your diary is like looking in the mirror at my life and my situation. I hasten to add that I am useless at all of the homemade baking that you do, but often think about that wonderful thing "hindsight" and what ifs and maybes. I am in quite a good place at the moment, but try to take each month at a time and don't tend to look too far into the future otherwise it does depress me slightly at how long we could potentially be in debt for. My DD is 5 and can be testing at times. I think she gets bored as an only child as her behaviour is wonderful if she has your undivided attention but in a real world with 2 dogs and chickens and a house to look after too (whilst still working my part time job throughout the summer holidays!) I find it difficult to multi task and generally just end up shouting at her instead. My saying for this week is that I am changing my name, if I hear "mummy....." in that whinging tone one more time......

Keep up the good work - you will get there!

One day maybe I will be debt free :o
  • :DHI skysky69 thanks for popping in, i know what you mean about the whinging its that long drawn out ''muuuuuuuuuuuuuuum'' that gets me. I also find it hard juggling and lose it sometimes (and i get the holidays off) so don't feel guilty.

Ended up spending £23 yesterday in Tesco, little bit more than i wanted, but they had washing powder on offer and i had a £1 off coupon for that brand so bought that and also bought bread flour and yeast, as i have decided that when i get back off hols i need to start using the bread maker again everyday, especially as the weather will start getting cooler soon which means lots of HM soup:D.

Today i need to pay Post office CC.
Start Packing things like toileteries, beach towels etc, so its not one mad dash to get everything sorted on Friday morning.
Book appointment at hairdresers for DD, its getting long and wild and difficult for her to manage. DS can go to the walk in barber on Thurs, his dad can do that whilst i'm buying the last few bits we need in town.
  • Postie has just brought my new contract for work and my hours have dropped slightly, resulting in losing around £60 a month:(, still got enough coming in to manage and hopefully i will still get some overtime, which will help, not stressing about it, somehow we will manage. Also recieved Cap one cc statement and the minimum payment is more than i expected it to be:mad:, on one hand thats a good thing on the other it means that they will be less money in the grocery budget for a while, I have sat and worked out a budget and once everything is paid i will be left with £175 for the months groceries, should be doable for a few months i hope:o.

Also last night hubby asked about his mbna card and how much was on it, so told him, his reply was i'm sick of that bl**dy card and went online and set up a DD out of his account for £300 a month, basically his wage rise money and the minimum a month, so i'm going to remove this card from my sig as he has taken responsibility for it.
  • WOOHOOO, just recieved another £5 amazon voucher.
  • Have paid Tesco cc £24 and Post office CC £30.Will pay Santander and Capital one tommorrow when i recieve child ben and that should be all the bills paid before we go on Holiday.
