  • I have been following this thread for donkies! hehehe

anyway, KAREN571 from tripadvisor who leaves positive feedback, from her reccent "Meal" has only ever left feedback once before, and yes, you can guess it, it was for the same venue, before the name changed!!!
Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:It just goes to show doesn't it??!!!!! The Blazing Donkey in Ham, Sandwich is falsifying posts on trip advisor!!!

The 2 posts from the couple married on the 16th September still gets me- whats the betting that no wedding took place on that day!!!! Surely if we all posted two feedbacks about one stay/experience, the true result would not be reflected.

One thing I have noticed recently though is that even the golfers are leaving bad reviews ..... I wonder if he has fallen out with them too ......
  • Just bobbed on for another look at the TA reviews after a different thread on here, they appear to be either terrible or excellent!

Seems the owner of that group of places is still messing up weddings
    :kisses2: Got married September 2011:smileyhea

Why would you risk booking a wedding there? makes no sense to me.

I recently popped the question on holiday and am at the very early stages of booking a wedding! This was in a shortlist put together at the poolside! We even went to see it recently!
Thank god for this site, there is no way I would even consider it now, there needs to be ZERO risk for this decision!
  • Two positive reviews on TA in the last few days, both from people who haven't had their there weddings yet! (One telling people not to listen to the negative reviews and that everyone has off days!).... lol!

I no longer check trip advisor for the blazing donkey as there is such a high chance of the reviews being false. Reading through them, most are highly suspicious. Good luck to those who have booked their weddings though, lets hope they do not experience the hell we had. :)

I know of yet another person who has recently sued the Blazing Donkey and won in court against the Blazing Donkey. He even used a solicitor and didn't attend himself but still lost. :rotfl:

I seriously wonder how many times he has been sued. I know of at least 5, that speaks volumes in itself!

I know Beks, you're right. I check now and then, but it is just laughable what the reviews actually say. I also notice that many of the negative reviews seem to disappear quite quickly so I am not sure what that is about.

It's good that people are still pursuing things through the courts when necessary. I am sure there must be loads of people who have had to do this! No lessons seem to be learnt do they? Funnily enough I saw they now have a Facebook page with lots of 'positive' links on it. It seems that they are trying to turn their web presence around but I think a lot of change needs to happen before that would happen!

Glad you persisted and overcame the awful treatment from the manager at The Blazing Donkey in Ham, or Deal, Sandwich, Kent. The Blazing Donkey manager sounds mentally unhinged. Come to think of it, perhaps The Blazing Donkey is some sort of description of the manager. How awful to hear of so many weddings ruined there.

Lol! It really is amazing that they are still in business. Actually, there's 2 new negative reviews on TA advisor today.

"best thing about this place is the location and the exterior, walking through the doors takes you into some sort of time warped universe where customers are an inconvenience and courtesy and basic cleanliness are optional extras." ... a very good description of this place IMO!
