Ok'ey dokey, After days of preparing it, I made a few last minute changes and mailed it out recorded delivery. I would have made it next day, but no point seen as its the weekend, so would have to await an outcome probbally towards the end of next week. I'll keep you guys posted if I hear anything.

Thanks for all the help and support from the many that have given it over the passing month, if it wasn't for you guys, I would have never found the said departments, so for the record... Thank you.

Sorry its a bit late now, but did you include a deadline for them? 14 days or something? Do copy your MP into all this btw.

He didn't. He did change it a lot since what GEEGEE8 edited and then he posted it.

But this time he did send the letter by recorded delivery.

So even if it's not answered he can prove that it was highly likely to have been received and chase it up.

Thanks but I did send it recoreded delivery, and I checked online and it was collected this monday (5 days ago) I also copied to my PC the e-Signeture of the person that signed for it.

Sorry, but no deadline was mentioned, but if I don't recive a reply by the end of next week, I'll be sure to rewrite it out with a deadline. The only problem is, I heard I really couldn't do anything i.e take the Police to a small claims court seen as this is undo-able and I stupidly put that in the letter.

O well, we'll just have to wait and see the outcome.

I'm sorry for being picky, but I just want to point out that you say you were pulled over on the 24th, having purchased insurance that morning, yet later you say your insurance started on the 23rd.

I know it's too late, but you might want to be aware of the error in case it gets picked up on.

    Hope you get a solution.

I just thought I'd give you guys an update. I received a letter back from them (found it in my mail box on Saturday)The letter I got states that they are now reviewing my concerns and would identify the most appropriate person to deal with the issue I have raised, and that they will send me the contact details of the person dealing with my complaint.

This one looks like a success! I haven’t been so pleased at receiving a letter in a long time...

You know, I noticed that too and it was a head-scratcher. My insurance paper says my insurance started noon, the day before... :S O well, it works in my favour both ways, seen as thats a thumbs up I was insured on that day if it was insured from the morning before. (or is my mind playing games with me? I could have insured it the day before... Grrgh) O well, all for the best. If it don't work out, I'll just have to fix the errors and send it back out again, no harm done. At least I know now I've got a hold of the department that deals with what I'm after.

    Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, the salient point is that you WERE insured! Glad you've found a department, fingers crossed it all works out for you.

I was getting a little impatient so I called up just for an update, they said their still trying to assign someone to my case and would get back to me in the next few days.

    fingers crossed indeed.

Hi, I just thought I'd give you guys an update.

after my claim being transferred to the appeals department, on the 9th of august I received a letter stating: "I am in the process of investigating your request for a refund and will contact you in due course with an update."

The problem is this was on the 9th of august and currently it is the 2nd of September. So I've been waiting a full 3 weeks for a follow-up.

The even worse part is, no contact number was left on the letter, when I called up the """ they said they only have an internal number and if I would like to get through to them I would have to write them a letter, and that is what I want to do.

I'm just not to sure what to write, I was thinking along the lines of a short letter, setting a dead line. What do you guys think?
