Hi folks, lets substitute old for free shall we. We should all have the confidence, after living so long, not to take the rubbish we were handed out by men/women in collar and ties, teenagers, threatening letter ect.ect. wear what you want, as long as it doesnt frighten the horses or make small children cry, do what you want, !!!!!! off on your own to somewhere nice, it,s your money and you worked for it. This also includes women who gave their lifes to their family, you now have the chance to do what you want, if you have athritis go somewhere beneficial for that nasty condition, get your meals put down to you, have massages and suanas and beauty treatments, even if you dont think they,ll do any good to your face they do make you feel better. Who cares if you want to wear a pink watch, it,s your choice, go for it

I can go along with those, don't know about meals 'put down' to me though isn't that what we do for dogs and cats:rotfl::rotfl:

Don't know how old you are teedy but I think you're a bit mad from reading some of your posts last night (in the nicest possible way ofcourse.)

Nice to see you posting here too, lets all be free together and I'd certainly wear a pink watch if I wanted to :D

I'm so happy! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I could hug the man who sent it to me, except he's head of a theological college so he might not thank me for that!

Anyway, I offered to help out with the admin of a conference DH is heavily involved in later this year, and said I needed a mobile phone for it. Was planning to use an old brick, but he said he'd get me a 'new' one. And it arrived today, and it's a beautiful pink, and I love it, and I don't think anyone had told him about my pink fetish, certainly not DH who is a little alarmed by my new phone!

  • Just thought....I did behave disgracefully New Year's Eve. Went to the Village Square, drank my Cava and ate my grapes as the clock struck twelve (it's what they do here in Spain), then went to a bar until FOUR  in the morning and then went DANCING  until 5.30! That's pretty disgraceful for me!

Not sure how 'disgraceful' it is, but I spent yesterday (Monday) doing GCSE Maths exams (Module 1 and 3).

Most of the nice young people who're doing the course I'm doing, and who were in the exams yesterday, didn't get the grades they needed while at school so to them it is basically revision, just to get a 'C' or better, rather than a 'D' or worse. Me - most of the course has been new information and I haven't dared miss a session. I must be mad. At 71, what hope have I got of doing anything with a new GCSE even assuming I pass? (More exams early June plus 2 pieces of coursework, one done over Christmas and one over Easter.) It's the challenge, the sense of satisfaction, killing gremlins that have dogged me since childhood. And if anyone dares to tell me 'these exams are getting easier than they used to be' I will personally throttle them. They're not easy at all!!!
