I'm sorry to disappoint but the only thing I've posted recently is on the Discussions board, about a feral cat!

Someone was talking about the Stones being a disappointment. My husband went to see Springsteen, he said that was a disappointment. We both went to see Mark Knopfler, that was a disappointment.

My husband said tonight that probably the best live band he'd ever seen was Slade during the era when they used to play at out local village hall when I was 15 and they were called the N Betweens.

I probably agree, they were full of life, very 'different', and very loud! (Before they went all Glam Rock).

Noddy Holder still goes drinking in the local with his Dad. Dave Hill is a Jehovah's Witness and has been seen on numerous occasions at our local Kingdom Hall. Don't know what's happened to the other two.

My husband worked for them when he met me, as a roadie, but he gave it up so that we could have some sort of realtively normal married life, bless him.

Sorry....reminiscing is NOT allowed on a Growing Old Disgracefully thread!;)
Feral cats ,have you noticed how all the cats in the villages in Andalucia, look as if they have come from the same gene pool ,long legs, elegant, they are a mixture, but predominantely they have certain characteristics.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

Aww Ken (is that a safe assumption? lol), please also accept my best wishes for your wife's continued recovery. I'll let you into a little secret, my name is P__ too ;) . Your Christmas break sounds delightful - I hope it's a real tonic for both of you.

And a question for the panel... if we're not supposed to reminisce and we're not supposed to moan, what are the advantages of growing old? I may want me money back :rotfl: .
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Christmas seems to far away,The question is a deep one,and requires some thought, give me some time.

That would be fun, each day would be a new adventure.those mountain roads in Spain, eating fresh figs, and local wine, they do have Sidra(hope that is correct). We know Spain ,perhaps we should explore further afield. We could always pull over and behave disgracefully
