Hi all well our big night out was a flop. The day was nice but the Stones were disappointing, the accoustics were bad and the stadium isn't all it's cracked up to be.

I had a few drinks and 40 winks and got driven home in style by my cigar smoking partner. We are now having a nightcap, tia maria for me scotch for him.

Glad you all kept this thread going in my abscence, sorry I left no message will remember next time:D

I saw Robbie Williams in Holland in June and really enjoyed it:j .I have just passed my third GCSE.So far have managed English ,History & Law.:D I learnt to swim after I retired and now swim about three times a week.:D Am off to Valkenberg in October for a long week-end and so far this year have visited France ,Holland ,Belgium, Isle of Wight, Blackpool (MSE meet) and have just had a week in a caravan in Caister.
I love to travel, and try to get out and about as much as possible. Next year I shall be off to Dubai for three weeks to visit relations, and to Italy for a week, and hopefully America with an old friend of mine who is a constant traveller. I am trying to make the most of my life as my mobility will decrease all too soon.(I have osteo-arthritis and my joints are slowly seizing up) But as long as I can keep going I will.
I try to do something different everyday, and something unusual at least once a week. My children and grandchildren keep coming up with lots of ideas, so that helps . My only advice for anyone who thinks that retirement is about growing old is , turn off the t.v., and look outside the window, life is out there you just have to go and take a bite of it while you can.:j :rotfl:

:T Been waiting all day for someone to pop by. Don't tell me you also have a "life", Kenshaz? :p

I'm sorry to disappoint you re. "secrets", but I've been quietly recovering today after the delights of yesterday (don't ask - involves a major overdose of old and crotchety parents :(). I also made about a gallon of veg soup (with my Old Style hat on, of course ;) ), but apart from that I've been banging hell out of the User CP button and wondering which Led Zeppelin concert you were all at! :D
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Nooo, silly boy. That would make it fruit soup ;) . (Hey I'm assuming you are of the male persuasion - mega apols if I'm wrong :o).

Putting it another way, I hope my Strongbow empties aren't being monitored by some sort of recycling Big Brother. Just because I don't like it in my soup......

(And I actually do recycle them, just not immediately  ).
