£259 for 900l from Hayes includes vat and delivery - next day if ordered before 2pm....let's hope0

From a quick bit of research today, for 900 litres:
Hayes: £259 (as mentioned above, next day delivery if ordered before 2p.m.)
CheaperOil.com: £259.88
Maxol Direct: 260.06
ValueOils.com: £262.71
Meekin: £272 (I think - I forgot to write it down!)
So Hayes are the winners by a whisker.0 -
called my usual supplier, castlereagh fuels and they could beat any price. But asked who the other distributor was. must have a list of prices ! £254 for 900 ltrs0

Ordered 500ltrs (£149.20) on-line with Value.com last night (Fri) just before 6pm. It has just been delivered @ 11:20am Sat morning! Very impressed with price and delivery. That was a standard 3 day delivery guaranteed before 5pm Tues.0

BatmansTank wrote:Just got my invoice from MaxolDirect. The cash price they quoted me was £165 for 500 a few weeks ago. Now it's £185! They've added another £20 to my bill!? I phoned them up and said my credit had 14 days to transfer through or they add 4p per litre to my price:mad:
I was never made aware of this and was waiting until I was paid at the end of this week before putting the invoice through, had I known I obviously would've got it done sooner but this has just come outta nowhere.
Very unhappy.
I don't know if yours works the same, but we usually get our oil from a Maxol distributor - not directly from Maxol themselves.
The price per litre is shown on the docket and across the bottom it says "Nett price payable only if settled within 14 days". You have to pay within 14 days to get it at the cheaper price.
My last bill was for 900 litres delivered on 9th November and was for £282.60, but if paid within 14 days it is £264.60.0 -
I'm just off the phone with a wee girl called Shannon at Maxol, she's told me that ValueOils.com slap on an £18 charge when you order from them. Is this true?
Anyone got off them before?0 -
BatmansTank wrote:That's all well and good, but it's a condition that Maxol failed to mention to me when I was placing the order and agreeing to buy from them. (My brother's a law student) and he's told me that you can't start slappin on new terms of sale after the sale's been made, it's like stickin "no refunds" on a receipt instead of bein told at the check out.
Cuz I get a wee foot note at the bottom of the docket after the oils in the tank, all of a sudden I'm under contract?
Don't think so.
Err.... only trying to be helpful. I was only saying that when I get my oil from a Maxol distributor that's what it says.0 -
Ordered 500l of oil last night at 7pm with TDF OILS and came this morning at 10am, cost £160.
This was my first time buying oil so was pretty impressed.I would like to be able to admire a man’s opinions as I would his dog - without being expected to take it home with me."
