Two weird UUs - a shampoo that I think might have been Thicker Fuller Hair but I'm not sure as it was decanted into an old BS bottle. Love this stuff, Boots don't seem to sell it any more :( Also a conditioner from Barcelo hotels, would definitely not even steal this from the room again as it's not creamy like I feel conditioner should be! Had a shampooish texture but didn't foam. Weird.

UU - a Clarins HydroQuench moisturiser -WIBA - yes, nice and light but does the job.
Its been replaced by a Clinique Dramatically Different yellow one in a pump that will probably last ages!

Spent £2 on a Timotei shampoo and conditioner in the pound shop.

  • Had a UU this morning: a phial of Umberto Giannini Spa Rituals Brightening Plus Hair Elixir Nourishing Treatment. WIBA? Nooooo!! As far as toiletries go, this must be the biggest load of rubbish I've ever bought! There are four phials in a box and I've still got a box to go. I got these through a Boots glitch and I remember many others on the Boots thread who were also disappointed. You apply this after you have rinsed off conditioner but it really doesn't seem to do anything for my hair. I'm a brunette and I wonder whether it's better for blondes?

It's quiet on here today, hope you are all busy pampering yourselves.

Hi, I'm another one with a box of these lurking. I think maybe you're right - that they are best for blonde hair. I'm a brunette too so will probably end up giving these away rather than using them for the sake of it. Has anyone here with blonde hair tried them? If so, what did you reckon?

I still have 5 Sensodyne Pronamel in my stash from when I found them for £1 a tube in Tesco last year, but no way are the kids using these they are all mine:D In case anyone uses Sensodyne Pronamel this was on offer in morrisons when I went in I think it was half price, definitely cheaper than any of the big 4.

Thanks so much for this :T I will have to check in our Morrisons in the week and hope they are still on offer. I like Sensodyne Pronamel Gentle Whitening and thought I was lucky to find it Buy 2 get 1 free in Boots, but if its half price then that's fab! Thanks again.

Oh I know, it looks lovely doesn't it! Stay strong - ask yourself do you REALLY need those products at this moment in time - and remember that these offers will still be around when we have worked our way through our mountains of products. Then we will be able to indulge, guilt-freeeeee!!
  • Hi all, sorry for all the separate posts - I haven't found out how to put several quotes from other people's posts into one reply yet, sorry!

I've got a couple of UUs to report:

Body Shop Mandarin Orchid shower gel - WIBA? Yes maybe when on offer. It was a nice gentle fragrance, more floral than fruity, and lovely soft lather that didn't dry my skin out. I was pleasantly surprised with this one, as I did expect it to smell more fruity, but found I liked it anyway.

Clinique Water Therapy Whipped Body Moisturiser - WIBA? Yes, I really liked this one. It was a bonus-time size (75ml I think) and if I didn't have loads of body lotions and butters to use up, I think I would go out and buy it tomorrow. It was really easy to use - halfway between a lotion and a butter - light and fluffy and it moisturised really well. Didn't have a strong scent, so didn't fight with perfumes! Yes, I would recommend this one definitely.:T

Well I hope the sun is shining where you are, and that lots of pampering is going on. Bye for now, love from Candice x

    Hi all,

    Couple more use ups:
Faith in nature lavender shampoo - wiba yes. It's chemical free and has a lovely smell. Will only buy again once my hair has settled down, it's getting less frizzy now. This shampoo had been open ages and ages in the bathroom so used it to wash out the sink n stuff.

Revlon lip pencil in nude - wiba no. Too dark especially as its called nude. Sadly I have another one in stash so will have to use it carefully to avoid 'dodgy outline lips' look.

Avon liquid eye liner - wiba no. Barry M do a fab eye liner so why I felt it necessary to stray and get this I dont know. It's off to a friend to see if she has more luck. For me it was really hard to control. Barry M wins hands down.

Aldi concealer pen (Touche eclat copy) - wiba no. It was too easy to get a scary ghostly unnatural look with this stuff.

    :A
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!"
Less things. Less stuff. More life.
 Fab thread: Long daily walks

Stay strong :T- I have learnt that what goes round comes around with TSVs and there will be some new lovely L'Occitane products to enjoy when you have used everything else up.

I have another UU to report too - Liz Earle cleanse and polish - WIBA? most definately - this is my favourite cleanser by far - does exactly what it says on the tin, great smell and leaves my skin feeling so refreshed. Once I have used up everything else in my stash this is the one I will be buying.

Have to admit to trying to track down a Glamour mag but without success so far - apart from the 2 sitting on a shelf that had had the gift stolen! Haven't tried any Benefit before but after reading some of your rave reviews thought that a £2 investment on a mag would be a good way of trying their products.

I know you're both right. I think I was trying to justify it to myself for feeling so crap all weekend and also because all I'm using at the moment are Avon shower gels I thought it would be nice to try some luxurious ones for a change but I'm sure there are other shower gels out there that are just as nice if not nicer for a fraction of the cost and also do I really want to add to my 70 odd shower gels already :(
