No Buying Toiletries in June Challenge!

Had a UU this morning: a phial of Umberto Giannini Spa Rituals Brightening Plus Hair Elixir Nourishing Treatment. WIBA? Nooooo!! As far as toiletries go, this must be the biggest load of rubbish I've ever bought! There are four phials in a box and I've still got a box to go. I got these through a Boots glitch and I remember many others on the Boots thread who were also disappointed. You apply this after you have rinsed off conditioner but it really doesn't seem to do anything for my hair. I'm a brunette and I wonder whether it's better for blondes?
It's quiet on here today, hope you are all busy pampering yourselves.0 -
one UU to report - Naked 24 Hour Coco de Mer Body Butter.
WIBA? Not sure, it smells lovely but can't say that my skin felt any better than with other products. Plus I still have loads of other body butters/creams/lotions to use up before I can even think about buying more!
I am getting low on the Naked Hand Wash but probably won't buy that again either. I got it when it was BOGOF but will probably makee do with cheaper handwashes in future.
My spending this month is up to £8.56. It cost £7.60 including postage for the Dermalogica sensitised starter set (plus £4 that I paid for a £15 discount from mycitydeal, but I paid that in May so that doesn't count!) I have also bought 2 packs of Tesco Vitamin E wipes at 48p each. Getting low on the 'nice' toothpaste so will have to go back to the Arm and Hammer stuff that doesn't taste nice at all. I think my son might need some persuading though!3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
Hello all,
Tis a bit quiet on here. More use ups:
Clarins extra comfort toner - wiba yes, once I've used another ordinary Clarins toner in stash. Very nice. Very comforting. So if you have sensitive skin you will like this. The only thing that may stop me buying another would be - I've found La Roche Posay (found in boots) do a spray water mister with antioxidants which really soothes skin too. Which is about £7 I think so about half the price, so if extra skint and no Clarins offers (bonus time) then I'd buy the La Roche Posay one.
Liz Earle's toner - wiba yes. is nice too (have it in a spray bottle) but I'm not entirely convinced it's anything other than a lovely smell. so I buy for that alone. if the vitamin e etc it contains does work then that's a bonus.
Baptiste dry shampoo for brunettes -wiba yes. even though I have highlights I prefer the one for brunettes, it makes me look less 'grey' than the ordinary dry shampoo. Brill stuff and if you want volume, this stuff is magic. About £2/3 a can I think(?) bargain.
Last splutterings:
Aveda damage remedy intensive conditioner - wiba no. Purely on cost. I had high hopes for this product, and whilst nice isn't worth the £20+ it costs. I may (in my quest for the perfect intensive conditioner) try Keratase, there is a salon near me that sells it.
So 6 months into this challenge, my stash problem areas are shampoo/ conditioner, liquid foundation, hair styling products. On the latter I now mix several products together (for instance Aveda styling foam on its own is drying, but add some Tresemme heat protection spray and it works ok).
Happy pampering :ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Thanks for this review, I have a box to use as well so may be getting shot of it sooner rather than later!I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0 -
Finished a Botanics shave gel on my legs last night. Didn't like it, thought it was unpleasantly sticky, but it is intended for men, so I suppose I can't complain!0

Hi mineallmine, I have pondered the same way about this product but have come to the conclusion that it is fab stuff and haven't found another although I still don't really know what it does! I've tried finding alternatives because I can't help thinking that a tenner for a toner is a lot of money but seriously cannot find an alternative. I once tried using it on half my face whilst trying a Nivea one on the other half and the difference was startling! The Nivea one felt so full of alcohol that it actually made my skin tingle and took ages to be absorbed. Even then my face felt tight and dry. This went straight into the bin. At the moment I'm using the Champneys one (although I have decanted it into the LE spritzer bottle cos I don't use as much that way) and whilst this is nce it does not absorb as quickly as the LE one does. I have a full bottle of LE in my stockpile so looks like I'll be buying this again in future.
This week I haven't used anything up. I have bought some things however they are all freebies from the recent mags so do they count? Got two the TBS body butters in Love Etc, one of the pink Jemma Kid lipglosses (not that bowled over by it - for me Smashbox win hands down for lipglosses) and one of the Benefit pencils. Was really impressed with this. After buying the body butters and lipgloss I told myself I was not going to get anymore. Went into work and spread the word around and after trying the It Stick on my hand decided to get a copy of the mag with it on. I usually use Erase Paste so have saved myself £16.50 (£18.50 cost of Erase Paste less £2.00 for the mag). Also bought a bottle of conditioner but bought a Herbal Essences one on offer rather than Aussie as I reckon any conditoner is working in my hair at the mo.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Another v small UU today - a trial sized bottle of Nivea Q10 firming lotion. WIBA? Well I didn't buy it in the first place but I don't think I would, it's too liquidy, I like a thick lotion or a butter, this felt like putting water on my skin.My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Any other footie widows out there tonight?
Just done a two mile walk on the treadmill, now had a shower and body buttered up-so a quick net surf before i chill out for the evening. One UU to report
Imperial Leather Foamburst Passionfruit-, i bought this on offer from Boots for £1.50-i know its hyped up, but it was very mildly smelling and didnt feel like my body was getting a proper wash!, found the foam a bit of a strange sensation!Glad i only bought one bottle now...
Have a good weekendx:)0 -
Oh dear. We're sorting through/moving some stuff in he attic for our move I found a bottle of perfume I would never have bought myself....a few odds and ends, some unopened. I've decided to chuck anything opened (it went up there four/five years ago.) but try anything closed. Except the perfume: feels so wasteful.0

Which Avon foundation is it, and how much coverage is there?
I THINK it's the new Magix Cashmere Touch one - I've slung the sachets out now so I can't check. The coverage was pretty good I thought - without being cakey and heavy. It went on beautifully though - I was really impressed and I'm hard to please with foundation.
One more UU here - a Boots liquid soap that I use at work. Have brought the pump bottle home and refilled it from a big bottle of bubble bath I've had just about forever. On Monday I will start using the new bottle of soap I have at work already and will put the refilled one ready for next time.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
