Galleygirl thank-you, I think this must be what my Ebay problem is all about. I do need to sell stuff so I will buzz them an email.
Today is the third day of an excellent conference at work and tomorrow I fly off to San Fancisco for a three day meting, after that I have two days in SF for a much needed break. I am off to work now and haven't done anything yet for packing for tomorrow. I need to finish at 5 today and get back here to get sorted out.0 -
Coffee £2, great three days of a conference at work, really uplifting. I have just thrown a pile of clothes into a bag ready for San Francisco tomorrow. I am doing some last minute washing too, need to find the Apple UK/US convertor for all the gizmos. My next conference starts on Tuesday, hopefully my brain will have enough expansion for it all.0

Enjoy San Francisco! Glad to hear conference went well, hope next one as good, and you enjoy your days off. Sitting in a beautifully sunny San francisco hearing some great speakers, the first two just happened to be English. The plumbers are at my house fitting the heating for the next three days and then that should be working, a good job as apparently it is freezing at home, So I will have heating in an empty house and no heating in the flat I live in, one out of two ain't so bad.
NExt week the floors go in the bathrooms and the kitchen which is the start of the second stage work. I am still hopeful that it will all be done by Christmas.0 -
Just read your diary from start to finish! Very interesting and reflects London life!
I'm in London too and I find I can't pop to a friends for dinner as we are all so spread out. And cabs are astronomical!
I do the weekly spends challenge too, I take out £50 a that's all I'm allowed to spend. Some people would think that's loads but it works for me.0 -
Nice to see you MrsO2b, London love it and loathe it in equal measure.
I came back to my room at 5p m and woke up at 2 a.m having missed the evening event for the conference, oh dear I am feeling old I can't keep up!
I have walked along the harbour side this morning it looks like it will be another lovely day. I need to sing for my supper a bit today as I am chairing a session. Tomorrow I have half a day of the conference remaining and then I need to fit it SF MOMA, the new Disney museum and the California Academy of Sciences on thursday afternoon and Friday so that I can shop on Saturday with a clear conscience. At some point I need to get to Japan Town to buy a copy of Ku:nel or Japanese Elle for a friend, she is mad keen for Japanese magazines.0 -

I am about to go into the final morning of the conference for an advisors meeting, then I am off the leash for two and a half days. California Academy of Sciences today as they run a Lates programme that looks interesting. Tomorrow I am off to the Walt Disney family Museum and to Britex my most favourite fabric shop in the whole wide World. At some point I will nip to the Exploratorium and there is bound to be an estate sale somewhere on Saturday. After two glorious days when we were stuck in the conference room it is cloudy today-sod's law.
I have had am email from home to say that the heating is all in and on full blast drying out my house. It is full steam ahead now with the bathrooms and kitchens. Finished by the end of November, perhaps................I am really looking forward to seeing it now, financially it is on a bit of a knife's edge as the windows are very expensive, the mortgage may be as high as £175k when I had hoped for it to be closer to £170k but I feel that I should get all the mess over and dome with now and just accept that it will be a tough couple of years to hammer the mortgage down.0 -
Oh dear, I found antique buttons in Britex..........and then there was a trip to the SFMOMA shop. Honestly I shouldn't be allowed out.0
