Shopping list/to do list - BDINI's chavbash. Orange foundation, heavy gold jewellery, Burberry tartan stuff or tracky bottoms with bra top and belly button piercing, brilliant white trainers (very practical with all the dog sh!te down the alley), alcopops, mobile phone with latest geek accessories.

Stonehenge Midsummer mash - hippy gear, patchouli oil, vegan burgers, hammocks, washing line for smalls, somewhere for the style goddesses amongst us to plug in their straighteners, somewhere to tie up the donkey, somewhere to park the VW campervan and loads and loads of homebrew.

Mens final at Wobbledon - centre court seats of course! buckets of strawberries and champers, telescopes to check out the trouser departments (someone's got to keep their eye on the balls...) somewhere to tie up the donkey.....

Not a NSD today, unlikely to be one tomorrow either, but I have another couple looming on the horizon so all is not lost!

OOOOH it is so exciting, Stonehenge, Leeds, centre court, no time for actual life as virtual life is soooo busy. Do you think they'll mind if Hubert has a wee nibble of centre court, could be a very MSE thing, savings on mower (Bigmumma, I can see a great day out for your there, lots of grass which will need cutting every 5 mins), Hubert's got to be the cheap option, and he's a little factory, in one end..............iyswim!!!

Had a predicted spendy day to-day, but did come in under budget, just. Notice I've stopped going on about unmentionable pharmaceuticals!

Its the weekend, so I'm off to open a bottle of fizzy wine (Prosecco for choice) then I'm going to drink it, then I may be mental!

Oh by the way jwil, is that some Orkney stones in your Avatar? Having a couple of days in Kirkwall this summer, meeting up with various members of family.

Yes it is, it is the Ring of Brodgar - I have family on Orkney and got married up there a couple of years ago. We're hoping to go up there in the summer. :)

Another spend day for me today and the weekend will be spend days too as we are off to Bristol Volksfest. Hopefully I'll have a better week next week. I have bought stuff for lunches so have no excuse there!

    Have a good weekend everyone!

Whoops -- or should that be Whoopsie ;)

There were sooooooo many reductions on the 'soft roll' section of the bakery today, that the bakery manager got me to drop them to 50% off at 2:30pm (instead of 6:30pm) and 75% off at 4:30pm (instead of 7:30pm).

Temptation was then just toooooo much, and I went home with a pack of 4 seeded burger buns, a pack of 6 torpedo rolls, a (new, so for testing purposes) tray of cheesy ciabatta bites, a (new, so for testing purposes) "3 cheese bread to share" (normally costs a small fortune just 'cos it's in a fancy knot shape!), and a spiced bun loaf. Not sure of total actual shelf values (baby sitting tonight, helping DD with house move tomorrow, then at OHs from tomorrow evening until late Sunday and goods with price tickets are at home!), but think they should have come in at around £4.90. Cost to me was £1.39 :D

Burger buns are in the freezer (need them on 21st according to meal plan), some of the torpedo rolls will be used for a 'pack up' tomorrow (have to nip home to collect DS so he can help loading van, so making my lunch then as DD sold her fridge/freezer and it was collected this afternoon meaning nowhere here to store cheese butties overnight), and will also pick up the spiced loaf tomorrow (am taking that to OHs to make toast with for Sunday breakfast - which also means I could get away with removing it from my grocery spends and charging it onto my social life budget, but I won't as normally he feeds me when I'm there and I don't reduce my GC budget to reflect having to make less meals at home). The 3 cheese bread will either be supper on Sunday or lunch on Monday, and I'm risking refreezing the ciabatta bites until we have spag bol on Thursday (will have those instead of garlic bread)

Not counting my chickens before they hatch, but can't see me needing to spend tomorrow (busy with house move all day, and OH has said he'll get pizza in for tea :) ) or Sunday (unless OH and I end up "baby sitting"/entertaining my GDs, while DD and my Dad finish off the house move which is looking increasingly possible).

May need milk on Monday, but DS has only used 3 pints in the last 48 hours - so it's possible (though unlikely) the remaining 6 pints may last until Tuesday. Meal plan shows no purchases needed until Wednesday (potatoes) - and as that's the only thing I need until at least next Friday I'll pick spuds up at the same time as milk. Still haven't completed the meal plan though, and next Fri/Sat/Sun is currently waiting for inspiration (or, more to the point, until I know whether it's a case of leave something for DS while I'm off gallivanting again :o)

We are just popping over to see family for the day...can't really justify £200 for just one night's stay (including ferry travel there and back too!) Staying with my dad in Caithness for most of a week. One year we will spend more time there again...I love it...went to school in Kirkwall for a couple of years before we moved south to Caithness. Given the chance I would love to retire there (loong time to go for that :rotfl:)...think DH has gone a bit too soft though!

Re marrying in Orkney...lucky you! I did suggest to dad we could use St Magnus Cathedral for our wedding 27 years ago...he nearly fell over!! (wasn't getting on very well with my Mum's Orcadian family at the time...much better now! :))

At least you have lovely sunny piccies of Brodgar...the last time we got our camers up there, it was thick fog...sunny in Kirkwall though!!

That's enough rambling about the most beautiful place in the world...back to business, spending business, and what a lot os spending today!

I may have chalked up 7 NSDs already.....but today I have reached our monthly food bill ...the 11th of the month, it must be a record!!:eek:

Perhaps I have gone just a bit crazy with all this money lurking in our account. A few extras, such as chocolate, ice-cream, grapes and cherries have appeared in the house...not seen them for a while!!

We will have to get more milk, eggs and F&V before the month is out...but DEFINITELY should NOT need anything more!!! Famous last words! :D
This total does include over 16kg of bread flour and stuff (costing over £42!) that hasn't even arrived yet...which will keep us going for a good while.

Right, off to watch The Godfather part two...again...a long night ahead then!

Enjoy the football everyone...DS2 has found lots of rugby to watch tomorrow...trust him! :D
