Well it's NSD no 6 for me,to the one's who enjoy football-enjoy, for me personally I can't wait for it to be over as I find it verrrrrry boring, still at least it's stoped raining so might be able to hide in the garden whilst it's on,pity we're surrounded by pub's so won't be able to get away from the noise, do you think they will let me go live at Stonehenge for the next 4/5 week's???????:D

Morning all, the duracell bunny has nicked all my energy today, all I want to do is sleep which means that the monthly curse is not that far away. Have popped the BM on with dough to make a HM pizza for tomorrow, my plan is to make extras for the freezer and leave one in the fridge for lunch tomorrow. I read on the forums somewhere someone's tip for the tomato sauce to go on the pizza bases (should have favourite placed it!) using a tin of toms and some passata I think, I usually just spread them with tom puree but they tend to be a bit salty, usually buy the ready made ones as the offer ones are cheap enough, but don't have any in and if I go buy one I lose my NSD that I'm oh so carefully racking up today. Anybody know where the pizza topping recipe is or has a tried and tested tomato pizza topping they use?

DH is taking me to H*bbycraft tomorrow to return some bits and swap them so I can finish a current project (no spend just a straight swap) and he's promised to finish filling round the door in the hall this weekend so I can finish painting it and we can get the carpet down. So if the pizza and other baking I'm doing for the weekend works out, then I should get an NSD tomorrow as well as today and have plenty to keep me busy this weekend. Sunday will be a spend day as we go shopping for the week on a sunday, but I'm doing well, two full shopping trips left until pay day and I've got just less than £130 to last until then. So far DH owes me £70 for extra holiday spends based on all the NSD's I've managed so far, he's not laughing now, but I am, he said I'd end up paying him :rotfl:

    Herby x

    Olive or vegetable oil
White chopped onion, the more you use, the tastier the sauce:p
Garlic (fresh whole or pureed in a tube)
    Black or white pepper
    Chopped tomatoes,
    Salt
    Tomato puree
    Herbs of your choice,
    Vegetable stock cube/stock granules
Dash of ketchup/Sweet Chilli sauce, or any sweet sauce from your cupboard

Fry onion till soft and translucent, add garlic, pepper, chopped tomatoes. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, (you might want to add water to increase quantity, optional), simmer again for 3-4 minutes, then thicken with tomato puree. Dissolve stock cube/granules in a small amount hot water and add to sauce for extra flavour, top with a dessert spoon or more of ketchup/sweet chilli sauce and sprinkle with herbs.

This sauce can be used as it is or blended to make it smooth for easier spreading on the flattened dough. Can be frozen too.

Great idea making your own pizzas Herbaholic, flour is one ingredient that's always missing in my cupboard, will ensure its on my next shopping list, comes in handy for bread on NSDs.

It really annoys me when school sends my son home with a receipe for the following morning, firstly I would like more notice and secondly if I've been good and planning a NSD, this totally spoils it.... LOL and thirdly when the teacher gets the date wrong, letter said he was making Eton Mess on 9 June.... so I bought all the ingredients at the weekend when I did my weekly shop only to find out on Tuesday evening that the teacher got the date wrong and he is now making it tomorrow, now I need to buy some more fresh cream and possibly more strawberries.....:mad::mad: what a waste of money...:mad::mad:.

Oh how annoying, are you sure it's teacher leaving it till late or your darling son just forgetting letter in his [STRIKE] cess pit[/STRIKE] bag :rotfl:

In our school they print out labels and put them in the kids planners with what's needed and for when. You might want to suggest this...

I've had an up and down day, On the plus side I've had

    A facial
    A massage
    A pedicure
    Hair Treatment

All at a west end spa (Wahanda special offer £29)

Bought a pair of leather sandals from Clarkes for £16.50 instead of £35

Had my nails done at the local salon £13

Not a bad day for £60

On the bad side NPower has finally, after 3 months of nagging given me an updated gas and electric bill £560:eek: That was for 6 months supply over the coldest part of the year but ooo eck. Oh well payment plan ahead methinks Shame I wanted to move to another supplier.

To end on a plus note, a friend of mine works for Euro Star and has got me a brilliant deal 3 days and 2 nights in the Newport Bay Hotel in Euro Disney with Lake view rooms inc travel and park passes for 3 adults and a 3 year old and a 1 year old (grandkids) all for £390. Room alone comes to £640 Gives me something to look forward to in the school hols. My grandson is going to have such fun.

Hope everyone has a great day well done everyone, keep up the good work

Another busy day at work and another nsd :j. Got to take ds to gymnastics tomorrow, and dd to dancing and fees due for both and poorly sewing machine has been repaired and needs picking up tomorrow too so got to spend a bit there. M-i-l got 2 tickets to see Mamma Mia for her birthday, one for her and one for me so looking forward to that on Sunday, but hoping not to spend too much.

Am happy to report that was able to overpay credit card minimum payment for once this month thanks to all the nsd last month iyswim. If this carries on my debt will be paid off before the country's one is! Maybe David Cameron should pop on here for advice:cool:
