Ta
I'm a first timer too - I put myself down for 12, scary isn't it lol:rotfl:
Mind you it's my birthday on the 16 and DS said to me, Muuuuuuuummmm (you know that way they have of saying Mum when they want something) I've taken a weeks holiday for your birthday week, can we do something special for your birthday. Last year as it was an O birthday I took both kids and my grandson to Spain for a week, that's why I'm paying off the credit cards this year.
So this year, being a frugal Moneypenny, I dug out my Tesco vouchers, paid £70 in deals for 7 day passes to Legoland (both kids and partners, me and grandson and step grandson). Told them that we're taking a picnic, my daughter is doing my birthday cake and that I am bringing a bottle of wine just for me so there's no way I'm driving home  Also told them we're putting £5 each into the pot for petrol.
How about that for a living within your means birthday celebration0
