Ooh a nice new thread - thanks Spoon!!
Can you put me down for 15 again please? Only just met my target last month but I need to start pushing myself more, had some silly spend days which were unneccesary.
Right off back to Brighton - where's PDD with that vodka?Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon .... :cool:0 -
Hi Spoon, can i join this please?... although to be honest, for my first one, can i be a real scaredy cat and just put down 5??? I realize this isnt a lot and some people may be thinking that its a waste of time, believe me, it is maybe more realistic a goal than saying 15 or 20!, i really am a shopaholic but trying to get a hold on my spending.
Be gentle with me please!.

Looking forward to a new start tomorrow (for real this time!)
Guys no one will think you are daft for starting low, at least you are starting!! :T
Trust me it does get easier & so addictive once you start, i found it really helpful to keep a spending diary in my first month, it showed me where i could have done things all on one day to let me have NSD's on other days, & also where my spending was unnecessary, or out of habit or emotion. Once i knew these things i could start tackling the issues behind the spending, with the help of the fabby posters here, & hey presto my NSD's increased dramatically!!!
Now i hate spending & ruining an NSD & the amount of unwanted food & junk entering my house is much lower :j
Good luck & make sure you shout up when you are struggling so we can all impart [STRIKE]*large amounts of waffle*[/STRIKE] words of wisdom!February NSD challenge 5/150 -
Just to confirm I'm in, going for 18/30
I already know I have to buy a stamp tomorrow, so that's 1 day missed to start with - but i'll do what I can to reach that 18!retirement savings target: £100,000 by 2032 start: £21200 Jun 22, Jun 23:0 -

I'm struggling already just thinking about it!!..
I am definitely gonna start a spending diary though, this will hopefully make me see just how much i am spending/wasting. There is only my son and myself and we go thru easily £250 a week on rubbish that we just dont need. I have cupboards full of food, the freezer is always full and yet i buy more!. I am like something not right in the head, just storing it all up for a rainy day!. And the bargains... Dont even get me started on the bargains....If you can, help others; if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them~Dalai LamaHow people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours~Wayne DyerLet none find fault in others. SNAP!!! That was me exactly. Stopped buying clothes to save money & started buying food, whoopsie bargains & more cleaning stuff than the local hospital!!
Had to use a crowbar to fit more "bargains" in the freezer.
I put it down to boredom & to cheer myself up, so i replaced shopping with daily clicks & the challenge to batch cook up the whoopsies (& it really does feel like getting the bargains all over again when i see them turn into a meal!!)
You will find something that works for you, just don't beat yourself up if it doesn't happen on day one (or even month one)!!February NSD challenge 5/150 -
