Declaring today as NSD no 5 ..that's three in a row!!
Funny..not spent any money since I got the tax-man's cheque...should get one more often...I wish! :rotfl:
We have been totting up what we can spend the money on, lots of choice!!
Looks like it might be:
- clearing a credit card (interest-free running out next month);
- pay off the computer (got last year, pay this);
- a pergola for the front garden;
- a meal out for the family on Father's Day.
Right, off to get my cross-stitch squares finished!
Have a good day everyone, the rain has stopped and the sun is out!!

Noooo Godd, good Nicca! You would have been bad, bad if you've paid full price, you've been a frugal money saver and got super goodies at bargain prices, what girl can resist?
Keiss looks like you're going to have fun spending your cheque, really pleased for you, funny how it takes getting a lot of money to stop you spending, same thing happens to me, you think really hard about spending it and I spend it several times over (not literally) just options of what's best to do with it. Make sure you get a least a little treat just for you, all the goodies you mentioned in your list benefit the family. It's your cheque so you should get a little something special just for you
Much better day here, tooth seems to be responding to the sensitive toothpaste, don't seem as sad and grumpy as yesterday, the teary bit comes in waves like when I was knitting last night and there was no Pye trying to pull the knitting off the needles, took me a while to figure what was missing and when I did I balled like a baby. Got loads of work done today which is a huge relief DH has been told to sit on me next time I have a bright idea until I've forgotten about it lol! Hoping for an NSD today, has been so far and have no plans to go out, curry and bulgar wheat for tea tonight and I've got everything in that I need for that. Even got a bit of choccy stashed so don't need to pop out for that eitherNeed to get off the pooter been working on it since 7am so need to do some cleaning, bed change and quick hoover round should fit in before DH gets home from work.
Hugs to all - Herby x

Good news is NSD #6 for me today, which means I've half-way to target with less than 25% of the month gone :T
Bad news is that I've been nowhere (including work) again today
Still feeling light-headed if I don't eat, but sickly if I do..... though not as bad as yesterday. But I woke up with a dehydration type headache today which is still with me, despite drinking loooooaaaaads of water and herbal teas (which are going straight through). Hoping to be fit for work tomorrow, as I've already lost 17 hours pay this week (not been there long enough to qualify for company sick pay) :eek:
On the plus side, I've managed a bit of de-cluttering between drinks/bathroom visits/cat-naps. Finally decided the method I've been using for the last ??? (is it really that many!) months wasn't working, so instead of moving what doesn't belong in room 1 into the rooms it should be in - and then having to get over what I've moved into room 2 to pull out what doesn't belong in there - I've started totally blitzing the living room by packing everything into boxes as if it were me getting ready to move house rather than DD (she moves on Saturday, so I've got to be fit by Friday evening to help out with that!). My theory with this new method is that I'll then be able to totally clean the room as well (all the woodwork needs washing, as does the carpet), then move the furniture around to where I want it before unpacking just the relevant boxes back into it. Only problem is that the kitchen (the only room with any clear floor space to speak of) is now full of boxes, and I'll have to find somewhere to re-site most of them before I can make tea
(Going to have to shuffle my meal plan around though - should have been gammon joint today, but I didn't get it out of the freezer yesterday. Would swap with tomorrow, but not sure chille is the best thing for me the way I'm feelingSo I think it's Fridays pie & chips today, gammon tomorrow, and chille on Friday)
First job for tomorrow morning (if I'm feeling better than today) is to take the boxes to a storage unit I've taken on to help with the declutter - but only until DS moves out, as I can then use "his" bedroom as my own personal 'on site' storageCheryl0
