Yay - sometimes I love going to work especially when the boss is away and I can loads done. And happily a nsd since I drove home the short way (away from shops) and have to get reports and planning done tonight so no chance of any spending. Number 2 for me.
    Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
    Emergency fund £1000/£1000
    Savings for big things £9017

Checking in with NSD #5 :T

Haven't been out of the house at all today (other than short forays into the garden with dog, who is showing great interest in the bird feeder I assembled yesterday).

Still not sure I'm up to work tomorrow - drinks are going through me (probably due to no food to soak them up), but feeling slightly icky since trying to eat plain toast in the middle of the day :(

Some unexpected spends for me today, so still on 2 at the moment. Hopefully tomorrow will be number 3!

Number 2 for me today, finally!! I think we've got everything we need until Saturday now, so hopefully I can get 5 days in a row :)

I'm about 6 pages behind on the thread, haven't got time to catch up now so I hope everyone is well! Got over 50 survey invitations to catch up on now, zzzzzz.....

As to getting things done about the house/garden for very little/free. Have you tried asking for things on Freecycle/Freegle?? There seems to be loads of Wanted requests as well as Offers on my local site. You never know what you might manage to get.

As to fencing...have a go at wooden pallets...you can get them free from local builders merchants/garden centres as well as Freecycle/Freegle etc (our local greengrocer leaves them out at the back of his place...and they just disappear....exactly as he wants!). They are solid and usually free...the blue ones won't be...but you should be able to get some. The wood is good and will last a few years...useful as a temporary solution I would think!

Aww Keiss thanks for all the good advice. Have to admit to being slightly dramatic about it all due to the PMT tho! Have all the appliances i need in the kitchen, am only short on cupboards & worktops which certainly isn't the end of the world!!!

As for the fence, i have a 3' one already but for security cos i live so close to work i need to put up a 6' one so i can't be seen in the garden. Have looked a few times on Freecycle, but think i'm being a bit optimistic that i'll get what i need, so less beer & groceries & more saving i think!!!!

Time to report NSD number 5 for me - was at slimming class but I'd pre-paid my fee (stayed the same weight - yet I've been really good this week - the scales are not fair - they are right but not fair !!:rotfl:) and we came straight home, resisting the draw of the possible whoopsies at the supermarket

I have been catching up on the threads - congrats Keiss on your windfall - great news - hope you do manage to treat yourself out of it

Herbs - so sorry about your carp day today - sending you a big big hug
