Gentle Jump into June? Did we mention NOT spending...(well this is the NSD challenge)
Comments

Oh dear, it is the 6th June and still not had a NSD! Still spending a fortune on my 'free' greenhouse - miscalculating what was needed and having to pop out for more clips, etc. Also have broken some glass which I will have to buy, and need some compost - so no NSD tomorrow.
I have also been giving some thought to what to include as spending. My monthly food money gets paid into my Tesco clubcard plus card and all other bills come out by DD - so will not include these. Also I can claim back money for petrol that I use for work, so will not include this, but will include any for personal use IYSWIM.
If I am going to reach my target of 15 days need to finally get this greenhouse sorted out tomorrow and stop spending.

Er.....have lost track of June so far and had a weekend away, although frugal - day on beach, day walking the fells and playing in waterfall, did have little spends each day. Starting over tomorrow cos back at work again so no time to spend. Still got 19 to do so quite a challenge!Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
Emergency fund £1000/£1000

Poo!
Slipped up on an ice cream - not literally!
Unfortunately, not a NSD but a LSD instead. I'm still doing a lot better than I used to, really thinking about money but not quite good enough.
Must try harder.0 -

With just 209 days left in the year (of which I don't expect to have DS2 here for more than 13 weeks/91 days, and very little of DS1 home on leave at all), I guess I [strike]should[/strike] need to stop buying ANY meat or pies for the rest of the year.........
Going to correct myself here.....

Have been trying to find a P60, which I found today - only to discover the P45 in the pile I needed to add the P60 to is the wrong one
So back to going through everything again in an attempt to find the correct P45....
But while I'm at it I'm actually trying to put things in their right places - on the basis it should mean less boxes for me to have to go through again (when I don't find the P45 on the first re-search).
Only part way through one room so far, and have found soooooo many tins, packets and boxes that should be in the kitchen that I'm floundering again !!! I know I've a lot more groceries in the other half of the room, but I've nowhere else to put them (unless someone can magic me up some ever-expanding kitchen cupboards --- please) :eek:Cheryl0 -

I have quite a few hotspots where paperwork collects but I've never been known to hotspot food and groceries
Told DH about your whoopsies and he agreed we should have an extra freezer.......but won't.........as we don't have anywhere to put it, definitely no room in the kitchen and we knocked down the garage as it was falling down anyway and never replaced it.
Didn't go anywhere today, DH got the dog food and bits we needed:T so NSD 4 today. Will have to spend tomorrow though as I only gave him a little list, not the full version, and found out that we need some ham for packed lunches . I know I have to get DS2's birthday cake for Saturday this week but don't really want to get it tomorrow. I thought it would be easy to up my target this month but with only 4/6 NSDs already I might struggle
Hope eveyone has had a good weekendLife is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!

I need a cow now!!
I bought 8 pints yesterday - 4 full fat (DS's preference), and 4 semi (so I have some for breakfasts, while he can finish it off). About 3pm yesterday (just after he got up!), DS asked me which he was supposed to be using - so was told the blue first, but when it was gone he'd be on the green until that was gone. About 5pm I saw him raiding it for (at least) a second time, and said it had to last until Friday (was prepared to get more on Thur morning, but not telling him that), and he put it back in the fridge without having any - but made a comment that implied he was disgusted it was going to have to last so long.
Got up just under an hour ago to find that since I went to bed at 1am (I was babysitting until midnight) he's totally finished the 'blue' milk - so that's 4 pints gone in a little over 12 hours
bloomin' heck cw, that's a bit much ..... hope you've taken him to task over that
No way I plan to throw it out
(but if I don't eat it, the dog will.....)
do you like yoghurt? If so, fresh fruit and yogurt is lovely as a pudding and very low fat...
Especially given it costs me £1.09 for 4 pints of milk
No chance in that case unless you start watering it down with skimmed......
Good luck, think you're going to need it .

DS claims he had no choice but to drink the milk - he needed something as it was hot, but there's "nothing else" in the house. (He won't drink water, and the orange and Vimt0 cordials are both a couple of months out of date..... because he stopped drinking them!)
Not a fan of yoghurt (other than some of the 'Corner' ones), and very rarely do 'pudding'. If I did have fruit & yoghurt it would be my breakfast instead of porridge (or which I have a mountain) or bagels. (Calcium is something else my diet is short on, so I've just started taking supplements.)Cheryl0
