Morning everyone! Hope youre all well today!

Just getting prepared to do a little grocery shop and trip to post office. Shouldnt be a big spend tho!

Sadly, I cannot report a NSD for yesterday as my friend from work who was treating me had a sudden bereavement yesterday morning. I feel terrible for her as she had a terrible shock.

I bought my lunch for the first time for ages as I always take a packed lunch. It made me realise (again) just how much I save just by doing this - £1.79 for a tuna roll out of Greggs and 89p for a can of Irn BrU - BLOOMIN OUTRAGEOUS:mad::mad::mad: What a profit they must make!!

    OK - rant over!!

    Have a lovely day everyone:)

Really sorry to hear about your friend, jintyb, that's awful, hope she's OK.

And, yes, doing this for a while makes you realise how bloomin' expensive shop-bought sandwiches are:mad::mad:

@ solventsoon, The harry potter one isnt quite yet.
First Rocky Horror at Knebworth, then Regency Gentleman and Hermione at Wadfest then Lady Margolotta - reformed vampire at the Discworld convention.
After that Armadacon where I shall be Aunty Entity from Beyond Thunderdome. Just have to spray my crossbow silver :)

I'm intrigued, rentawitch, that sounds like fun:j:j:j

Sorting through bank stuff, will finally tally how much i spent over the last couple of days!!!
Will need to transfer some of my savings over i think or we might struggle to pay everything!!! Whoops, never mind!!
I'll get back on that pony and ride down the MSE route again!!!!
Feeling a bit flat today!! OH has a job interview this afternoon, and i can't really be motivated to do much...............
Although i do have to add, i just applied for a job!!! That was a leap!! Ive been off work 4 yrs, cause i had a breakdown, it just seemed like too much of a opportunity to pass up, supporting others to live a independent life!!! I'd really enjoy that!!!!
    Wish me luck..................

Off now to try and get some motivation, if anyone has some spare or can give me a kick up the bum, would be appreiated!!!!!!

    Love to all.....................

Hi TMVen, well you did ask...

    2.gif

Good luck to OH with the interview and good luck to you with the job application - sounds right up your street!

Hope you get your NSD today:j

OMG can't believe i forgot to share my good fortune (remembered just as i pressed submit!!)
Got a letter today telling me i have been compensated £100 for the bank drama last week :j :j
That more than made up for the hours i spent sorting it. Asked them to pay it straight to the card to help with my debtbusting :A

Brilliant news, BDINI, really pleased to hear that. Would have thought it's the least they could have done, tbh, but something is better than nothing:j:j

Awww 3Dogs you can borrow my pony until you get yours :) I managed another NSD today taking my total to 19, well I think I did... I got a code from Mr T for free delivery when you spend over £50, so I've put an order in today but it isn't being delivered until Tuesday so money won't go out of the bank until then, so was it a spend or not Spoon? I'll wait and see what the consensus is before I update my total to 19 in my signature.

As an aside my Mr T total was just over £58 with the £3.50 delivery, but when I put the code in, it took £6 off so I got £2.50 off my shopping as well. Used the code to stock up on cat food for DH's cat and some store cupboard bits and bobs, so rather pleased with that. I didn't realise that free delivery could net more than the actual delivery.

The nut roast sounds nice CW, I used to make a cashew nut roast and really enjoyed it, not had nut roast for ages, mind you nuts are so expensive these days I find, hope you get all the paperwork and student finance sorted out, they don't half make people jump through hoops. Off for an early night, been a long day.

    Herby x

    Hi Herby
Not sure about that one, what does everyone else think - spend day today or spend day Tuesday?

:jrentawitch: well done for no 6 - that’s brilliant! Only 2 more to get now, keep going!
Re putting off spending money, as long as you don’t spend, then it’s an NSD, consolidating spends (ie thinking about what you’re spending and when) is the way to get NSDs as it makes you think about what you really need rather than just going out and buying stuff willy-nilly.:)
Hmmm.... new computer monitor - must be essential, I would think, otherwise how would you be able to come on here and be inspired to get NSDs?;)
:jKeiss 21: well done for no 16 - that’s brilliant, fingers crossed for your target (any pony) at the weekend!! Hope chiropractor and spending go well tomorrow. :)

But oh dear to your leg :(:(- what on earth happened? Hope you’re on the mend soon
:jjwil: well done for no 8 - nearly there now, you can get the last 2, keep going!:)
:jboultdj: well done for no 12 (good job one of us knows!!) - 4 more to get now, you can do it!!:)
:jLa escocesa: well done for no 13, that’s brilliant, 15 NSDs would be a great total to get!:)
:jKayleighpea: well done for no 3 - you’re on a roll.. keep going!:)
:janonymoose: well done for no 7 - that’s brilliant, keep going!:)

Wow re the supermarket changeround - just shows how much your shopping habits have changed recently!!:T
:jMainyasha: well done for no 13 - that’s brilliant - only 2 more to get now!

:jskaps: well done for no 13, you’re doing great!:)
:jkathy40uk: well done for no 10 - you’re doing brilliantly - keep going!
Finding the money is a great reason for being untidy - well done!!!
Like the being organised spending - good luck, hope it works out for you.:T

    And hello to everyone else:
slowlyfading: keeping my fingers crossed for you again today.... oh dear, sorry it didn’t work:(..... as you say, there’s always tomorrow..
cw18: glad you had a good FB chat and enjoyed the M@rs bar. Oooh, more milk, now there’s a surprise:rotfl:... but glad to hear the milk monster brings some benefits in the form of free dentist treatment:T..
and more bargains today - brilliant
and grrrr to government departments, they are such a pain:mad:.....
moneypenny2k: fingers crossed for another for you tomorrow:)
Nargle: 9 is a great total, but fingers crossed for another 1 or 2 on top for you:)
Dorastar: men don’t think laterally when shopping (or any other time), so cleaning stuff wouldn’t enter their heads:mad:.... what a pain!
3Dogs: oh dear to missing your planned NSD today:(... what a pain. Roll on Saturday and the pony award!!:)

And I managed to avoid my spendy day today and got myself another NSD taking me to the dizzy heights of no 20:j.... and feeling very pleased with myself. Spendy day tomorrow though (and a serious one to boot!!)...

Off to do the usual update now, see you all tomorrow

Hi, I'm back. I've been in bed with the flu for the past 6 days but the upside to that is I wasn't able to spend any money so I hit my target of 20 NSDs :j. As there are still 6 more days left in June, spoon, can you please revise my target to 24 - many thanks. I should only need to have two more spends days so I'm feeling confident that I should be able to squeeze in 4 more NSDs. Hope I haven't jinxed myself! I can see this thread has been going at full speed, it will be interestiing to see how long it takes me to read through the many posts. Great to see people hitting their targets.
