I LOVE my lace-up dress. It really is comfortable and the Maggie Sottero corsetry is so great that I don't have to wear a bra and I NEVER thought that would be possible as I'm a larger cup size and can never go bra-less normally. In the dress though I feel completely secure and well supported, and it doesn't pull my boobs down at all. :rotfl:
 This is mine:

Any excuse to whip out that pic lol. I can't wait to wear it, I'm just gutted I only get to wear it for one day. Like you I love how it sucks my waist in.
The good thing about a lace up dress is you can loosen it after eating dinner. I've had to do that for friends at their weddings before lol. I've had to do that for friends at their weddings before lol.
I've never felt bruised after being laced into it. I feel for your mum picklepick - my mum did mine up at the second fitting, under instruction from the lady in the shop! Don't think she would have done such a good job if she'd just had a go herself.
I'm going to mum's on Sunday to have one last practice of her lacing me in (first time doing it on her own), then next Friday is the big day!0

I can echo - my lace up dress is very very sucky in but doesn't feel like it is bruising me. I would say a shop assistant that bruises you is getting it wrong! We're not in the Victorian times any more!Bump due 22nd September0

Thanks!! I lost 2 stone with Weight Watchers after ordering the dress; the pics of me when I first tried the sample dress on are a bit different.
Much more comfortable in my body now and almost wish I'd gone for a slinkier dress that doesn't hide my lower half, but on the other hand, what other excuse will I ever have for a skirt that big? :rotfl:
Back to the point - picklepick - I bet your dress looks AMAZING! Do show us pics after the event. 0 0

Can i just say that i was probably being a little melodramatic the other day. Yes my dress is corseted and tight but in a good way.
Im not wearing a bra underneath, it pushes me up and pulls me in, in all the right places. Its only natural that your body will need to get used to a tight fitting corset after being used to loose fitting fabrics, its in no way torturous though!
I love the shape it gives me and i can sit down and eat and do all the normal things haha! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0

Oh and after the day, i will of course be posting piccies!
I was mightily chuffed with myself aswell as i told the lady in the shop about my Richards Design chapel length veil from eBay and she nearly fell off her seat!
It should be over £200 from new and i got it for £30! woop! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0

SOOO pleased Pickle! have been waiting to hear about this all day, only just got into work!
Bubbles-my sister also wants me to be uncomfortable it seems, however, if I'm not comfy, I ain't wearing it!
Sarah - I'm sure I said this before, you look amazing in that dress.
I'm ordering mine today from Landy, will let you know what it looks like when it comes! (gonna have to wait for AAAAAGES though ) 0 ) 0

Delighted for you Pickle!!! It's surprising how when you get your boobs in the right place how it makes all the difference. I have to get really personal with some ladies to get their boobs in the right place otherwise dresses seem very hard to do-up!0
