Congratulations picklepick - I'm so relieved for you! I know what you mean about rearranging your internal organs. lol - the young girl in my dress shop was very kind to me and didn't do it up too tight, but then the older lady in the shop corrected it and tightened it - I nearly fell over twice because she had to pull so hard! My ribs felt bruised the next day - needless to say, I didn't go for a lace-up back in the end, although there is an internal lace-up bodice bit that my bridesmaid will have to learn how to do.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Really glad the dress fits. Don't worry about the cold sores. I, as expected, got one a few days before my wedding and even though it was noticable, the photographer airbrushed it out.

I did have sympathy to those who had to wear corsets in the olden days. I decided that I'd rather be a bit more comfortable by not having a lace-up back, but it's all personal choice really. Some people prefer the lace-up back from the point of view that if you put on or lose weight, it's not so important, as they are adjustable to a certain extent.

My daughter has just received her own wedding dress, a very firm corset bodice and had her try on this week, she's also tried on the shop dress a couple of times and never said anything about being uncomfortable or 'internal shifting' lol. Maybe it's the 'euphoria' of wearing THE dress but she looked really happy and comfortable - no tweaking or squirming, and she sat down for a while!
Judging by her experience Bubbles, it doesn't have to be a painful experience!

So pleased for you Picklepick! I did wonder if perhaps the corset hadn't been laced or done up properly and was surprised that the shop didn't have you try it on before taking it home. You Must post pics after the event - I'm sure we'll all remember this dress! lol
