You should have a great time. There's stuff on the quay at night, there's fireworks weekly, proms in the park, lovely beaches (go to Studland for the quieter beaches but avoid the nudist bit unless you're prepared :rotfl:)"Stay Wonky":D

nudist beaches ... yikes ... i would get harpooned for a whale lol ... we have a wee kiddie with us anyway ... but the fireworks etc sound intriguing .... any restauratns you would recommend?0

oooh, restaurants.....not been out for such a long time but the Antelope near the Quay should be good. Actually, I don't know if I should recommend any.........I haven't had dinner out for years
:o:o
Alcatraz should be pretty ok, that's about a minute from the quay, Italian thin base pizzas etc. Corkers is a bit staid and up itself, there's a chinese buffet place on the quay which a colleague loves, if you want Nandos type places, you'd need to go to Tower Park where the cinema is, there's a few similar chain places.
Mak's Garden on Ashley Road is a sit down all you can eat chinese buffet. You order and they bring it to you - repeatedly
Shah of Persia perhaps for a carvery and my old local Sweet Home Inn for big portions, mostly homemade. Both of those though are about 2 miles from the quay. Depends where you are staying really."Stay Wonky":D
