Well today was a bit of a test re driving wise and stomach- survived it..but LOL- what is it about summer and ruddy cyclists? Driving 4 abreast in their little clubs, nattering and even worse- wearing lycra!!!!!:rotfl:
I was treated to a back view of one as he went up the hill and:(:( What i saw was not nice- pads in shorts and a full view of things dangling in between:(:(:( Barf!
And the lycra suits are awful:rotfl::rotfl:
Just thought i'd share as they are more of a menace to the road than tractors- especially in country lanes.
I am all for cycling by the way- just not in groups and being road hogs- and wearing lycra:cool:
End of rant.:DBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Cyclists....gaaaaggggghhhhh!
....they are the idiots who cycle BEHIND a reversing 44 tonne truck and then abuse the driver because it MUST be his fault because he is a truck-driver after all, am I right? ( and then pedal away quickly when said driver alights from the cab for a wee chatty-poo?)
Hope you are feeling better after whatever it is that you have just gone through.....I dare not scroll back to the previous page, I feel that there may be 'womens things' therein:eek::D stay wonky

Go one pepe, you know you want to!
Lol re cyclists...have to say Im partial to a nicely rounded bottom and a bit of lycra but also get a tad annoyed when they weave in and out in the city and then moan when people didnt see them coming! Having said that some people also drive waaaay to close...round here they usually just go on the pavements anyway. Who cares about the law and fact that there are loads of cycle paths!
Have been doing a wee bit of research and it turns out that there is not just a dr who exhibition but also lots of places locally that it was filmed! Still dont quite get what happened on Sat...was she deaded or not?Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
I dont mind proper cyclists, its the holier-than-thou-its-my-divine-right type that get me.........and the fact that they are so hard to untangle from your trailer axles!:p
edit, and the ones with their i-pod shoved in their earholes so they cant hear a bloody thing as they happily shoot over yet another red light.
....and breathe, Pepe:D stay wonky

Well she seems dead in that timezone- i have a few theories..but that would make me out to be a Dr.Who Geek:j:j I confess then:cool::rotfl:
Yep totally agree about the law and cyclists-They should also have lights on in the dark as well:cool:
I mean why spend £500 on bike to get it squashed- or Why think so little of your life while they are at it:mad:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I like proper cyclists but i am getting to the point where i am rapidly losing patience at the things i see whilst on the country lanes and around towns.
I saw some of the IPOD brigade as well- one was going up Parbold hill ( google how steep that is) while weaving across the road trying to adjust his i pod ear phones under a helmet- at least that's what it looked like- PITA that he was- everyone honked at him- bloody idiot! No one could get past safely and the look on other cars faces as they came down the hill said it all as well:cool:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hi Bob, just checking in to see how you're doing.
When does the new job start?
Are the family and finances okay and behaving themselves?
Already started it:D
Two days on contract:beer: Which pays monthly one month in arrears. Will be paid in July for work now. Then August for work in July.:D
The other job is also Two days a week at the moment and that is paid fortnightly. So will be paid upto the end of July.
The School contract pays more because of my pay scale and i will just finish off contract with the other company because i want to sort out the children i am working with:o That's the problem with this job i am not fond of company but feel loyal to the children.
So financially not too bad.
I am still holding on to money though..don't know what it is but i have to keep money to one side just in case.:o So haven't paid car off. I am thinking that once DD is settled at Uni and we know where we are with Student loans, then that will be the time to plan what to do with the money.
Am also being pushed to have a do for Silver wedding anniversary, which i don't want to do:o Sounds mean doesn't it? I would have celebrated it in party style a few years ago, but i just feel completely worn out by marriage/events of past few years and we have a long way to go before celebrating anything yet. I might be able to muster up some enthusiasm in a few weeks time but not really sure TBH.:o:o
Made a little pact to enjoy a few things though- so am going on a trip to Cardiff:D
Have booked a night out at Houghton Tower concert in the park.
Going to see Wicked with GG in London in October and a couple of other things. Not very expensive in terms of what i will be getting out of the trips and i am looking forward to every one of them.:D
'Rest of family doing well thanks.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
