Has Anybody Else Had No Help From Comet Customer Service?

Dear Sir,
a: You have not attempted anything of the kind, I fail to read anything of assistance - especially in your use of foul and abusive language towards me.
b: I am posting this on the forum because of a complete failure of Comet being able to resolve my complaints 1-to-1.
c: So in your "big picture" view it's OK for Comet to do this to people who had previously been loyal customers. So what do you suggest - smile and enjoy it?
point one,whatever
point 2,look back at my very first reply regarding this
I try and cut through the emotive bumph and get to main points
eg getting your nectar points back.you seem determined to cry about
I on the other hand try and find the best solution regardless of fault
thats the difference
now go back to crying0 -
Rjg2bucks, if you suspect "Andy from Comet" is not really a representative of Comet, you should make your concerns known to abuse@moneysavingexpert.com0

Thanks, I have already alerted the moderator about this problem.0

1: Your response shows a lack of empathy and understanding.
2: I would be interested to know what solution do you propose - because when I read your replies I do not see a clear analytical mind, otherwise you would not have used inappropriate lanaguage. Secondly, obviously you cannot see that my complaints about poor customer service and people being responsible for their actions - far outweigh any other matter. But I suppose that in your "big picture" which you urge people to take - such matters are unimportant.
3: I suggest that instead of dismissing me with your last comment - you look at the big picture and be ashamed of your self for such a crass and insensitive comment. That is the comment of a ignorant bully - not a adult. If you think you're being a big brave man - grow up you're acting like a child.0 -

you still crying? Im done with you
you arent getting what you want from Comet(and fail to explore other avenues) so now are directing your vent on me
believe me, it is wasted on me
It just makes me laugh at you,no bravado required online
however Im sure your not the adversarial type without a keyboard :beer:0 -
How many Nectar points are you talking about given they're worth approximately 1p per £ spent?0
-
I admit the original amount of Nectar points is miuimal. However, it is the following issues that are important:
1: Comet accepted my order and took my money even though they did not actually have the inventory to meet my order - This is direct breach of "Sarbanes-Oxley" accounting rules.
2: Comet promised a "goodwill" gesture - which was never given.
3: "Andy from Comet" provided grossly incorrect information
4: When I called Comet Customer Service to discuss the incorrect information I had been given (prior to posting on this forum) I was told:
(a) Comet Customer Service knew nothing about "Andy from Comet"
(b) Therefore Comet were not going to stand behind "Andy from Comet" - so Comet were not responsible for anything he wrote on this forum.
I hope this clarifies the situation0 -

A quick google tells me this is something to do with American Law.
2.They promised a goodwill gesture. By its very nature, I think you will struggle to force anyone to provide a goodwill gesture.
3 and 4. All revolve about whether Andy is a real rep for Comet or not. What did abuse@moneysavingexpert.com have to say? I see you have "alerted the moderator", whatever that means.
This is a serious accusation. Why did you not notify abuse@moneysavingexpert.com?0 -
Hi,
"Has Anybody Else Had No Help From Comet Customer Service?"
I haven't had any help. However, I haven't actually asked them to help with anything.
Does this count?

Hi,
1: Yes, Sarbanes-Oxley rules have been adopted throughout the western business world. Basically, they are designed to stop improper accounting practices - such as taking money for goods that you do actually have.
2: Agreed - but Comet have a moral responsibility to stand behind what their employees tell the customer.
3: Agreed - This the most serious matter, being told something that is completely incorrect in a public forum, damages the credilbility of the entire forum. I have reported it to the forum moderators at 'abuse@moneysavingexpert.com", but I have not heard anything yet. I expect that they are reviewing my e-mail and trying to get a response from "Andy from Comet". The most damning part was when I spoke to Comet Customer service - prior to posting on this forum - and two separate people denied (a) the existence of "Andy from Comet" and (b) told me that Comet had nothing to do with anything that this person posted on the forum.
If "Andy from Comet", is out there reading this I would appreciate it if he (or she) would reply - Comet have all my contact details....0
