Well, that is part of the reason I am so upset - according to Nectar there is no such system. So who am to believe? "Andy from Comet" who happened to reply to my original post, but when I speak to Comet - "his" exisitence is denied - or several "real" people from Nectar who I have spoken to on the phone?

From my conversations with various "Nectar" people - there is no way that the points can be refunded "normally" or "abnormally". The problem is that the Nectar website worked, it forwarded me correctly to the Comet website - OK. It was the Comet website that was faulty and when I tried to enter the relevant promotion code on check out, it would not accept the code. I had an on-line chat with Comet support, who verified that there was an problem with the website and then advised me to call Comet direct and place the order over the phone.

PS: You're not "Andy from Comet" in disguise are you??

If the accusation here is that the Comet rep is a fake, he has helped people here in the past, and they have posted positive outcomes. Also, to become an official rep, MSE has to verify them.

The call centre you spoke to may be based in a different location than the email reponse team hence why they do not know who he is.

Why not send an email again and ask Andy to check the iinformation, he may have been provided duff info from Nectar.

Sorry, all I can speak of is as I have sadly encountered today. The simple fact is that two people from Comet denies his exisitence and then told me that Comet was not responsible for anything he says on this forum. With regard to the comment about the "call centre" not knowing who "Andy from Comet" was - the second person I spoke to could see earlier correpondence (letters and e-mails) that I had had with Comet. So given these facts, what else can I say.
With respect to your suggestion of contacting "Andy" - all I can say is that when I told by Comet that there is no way she was going to overrule her colleagues decision - obviously means that Comet do not want to resolve several problem which are 100% created by themsleves.

The bigger picture is a matter of perspective - to you this obviously means nothing, which is fine. But, I have a legitimate right to bring to the forums attention when somebody who claims to be representing an organization (a) is disowned by the organization and (b) provides information which is incorrect.

Quite frankly, if that is not the "big" picture perhaps you need to re-calibrate your views. If you think it is correct for an organization to provide incorrect information, then I stand corrected.

I have no interest in your employment or making stupid accusations, if you cannot see an attempt at humour, well.....

    Dear Sir,
a: You have not attempted anything of the kind, I fail to read anything of assistance - especially in your use of foul and abusive language towards me.
b: I am posting this on the forum because of a complete failure of Comet being able to resolve my complaints 1-to-1.
c: So in your "big picture" view it's OK for Comet to do this to people who had previously been loyal customers. So what do you suggest - smile and enjoy it?
