    Hi,

Not seen the V5 yet to look at as they filled it out to send of and 'briefly' showed me. I didn't HPI as it was from a dealer as I normally do when buying vans.

    Sappy,

If the car was bought from a Vauxhall dealer then I presume it's a Network Q warrantied car and as such you can exchange is under the 30 plan:

There is a difference between your expectations and what you have received. Not saying either is right or wrong but worth noting the following points.
-These cars are often bought in batches of 50 at auctions and sent all over the place.
-The salesman (rightly or wrongly) probably hadnt laid eyes on the car or driven it prior to your enquiry.
-All he can tell you is reg, milage, and a suspicion of where it comes from - less than a year, low miles, probably a job car from the manufacturer???
-The car has a 3 year warranty. 2 years left so any glitch can be sorted out by them give them a chance to do it. (not saying you shouldnt ask for something for the inconvenience)
-The fact you overpaid and they screwed up the price is something you should have spotted when you picked it up. Some used car sales guys are very smart, others cant get past counting to ten without using their toes. You need to check the paperwork yourself before signing it and paying.

I have never had an expensive car before, this is expensive to me a Peugeot 307 coming second, so I was unaware on what parking sensors would look like sound like so on so forth. I am only 22 and very inexperienced (as you can tell).

The least they should be doing is reimbursing you for the parking sensors. As for it breaking own, that can happen with any car and you should give them chance to fix it and provide you ith a courtesy can whilst doing so.

Also ask them if all recalls / reworks have been carried out. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-G7AEK2eBHU

Thanks guys for all your input, the car will be picked up between 0930 - 1030 and I will be taken down to the showroom via the AA, not looking too good I imagine if people are looking at cars!

I appreciate that the sales guys may not have known the full extend of the cars history and if that were the case they should not have told me it was never released to a customer blah blah blah and charge me for something that already was in the price!

I am very very good with numbers, studying maths, and tend to get ahead of myself picking the car up with all the excitment. It was only when I looked over them that I understood how they played with figures, which I will need to discuss with the manager and guy who sold me the car.

Moreover, as previous post (well one of them anyway), they added an extra year so I have 3 year 2 months cover. This is fantastic, but isn't so fantastic if I am constantly going back and forth getting repairs done, getting recovered etc. I just hope it isn't a sign of things to come. Everybody said to be cautious with Vauxhall, but everybody said that about my Peugeot and it did 80,000 with me driving it without a hitch!

Also, the 30 day promise, after reading, has a very vage sentence ' if your car develops a mechanical or electrical fault (in the first 30 days of ownership) that cannot be repaired to a satisfactory standard' - And how do you judge whether the cars repair is to standard, wait for it to develope the same fault, by which time it will most likely be out of the 30 days!!!

Thanks all for your opinion, I tend to be a push over so my partner (the rockweiler) is going down with me. The manager was using this car, and even though I was waiting for it to be ready, and the insurance paid Tuesday 25/05/2010 they said I couldn't pick it up till Saturday 29/05/2010 when they valetted it also. My assumption, based on the increase on milege since paying my deposit, is that he manager was using the car till his new one came - this is neither here nor there but gives me an idea on their honesty as no one should have been using it.

I can't understand how they could claim to give you an extended waranty, the cars only 10mth old and has a 3 year manufacturers one as standard:(:(.

I too would be very very miffed, time to make your presence felt but give them chance to explain their way out of the muddle before you hammer on the desk.

I would want the car replacing as being not as described, I personally would not buy a car that has had 2 owners in the 1st 10mths of it's life.;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
