Harvey but surely you could understand my anger, along with the lies I was told.......0

you need to get it back to the dealer to rectify the issue, especially as you have the warranty. i think the issue about the info left in the car is a side issue and people will latch onto that rather than the main issue at hand which is the fact that you have paid £16k for a car that doesn't work!0

i cant really agree that the DPA has been breached as such.... it was up to the previous owners to remove all of their personal belongings from the vehicle before selling or getting rid of the car. Obviously the garage didnt fully check the car either maybe they just assumed that the previous owners had removed everything0

The DPA.

What would concern me more is that the dealer told you the vehicle was owned by Vx from new, yet you found paperwork to the contrary.Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0 -
Yes I can understand you being !!!!ed off, but the worst thing anyone can do (and I'm not singling you out) is to go into a garage shouting and screaming.0

Wonder if it was ERAC or someone lol...0 -
Harvey - I was told Vauxhall owned the vehicle from new and it turns out that they didn't. It was registered 15/07/2009 sold 08/2009 to the guy I spoke to, from Vauxhall, but due to a divorce and downsizing, was sold 6 months later (ish) to Hyundai as P/X (who attempted to sell on forecourt) with cash in Portsmouth then ended up at Vauxhall in the midlands.....0

Sappy, in that case then as previously said it seems the previous owner left his/her info in the car.
Didn't the dealer carry out a full valet/inspection etc? I would have thought that was the least they would do on a car of that value.
I appreciate you may be unaware of the fittings on a car. Just a pity your dad didn't go with you
I personally would go back, but might be an idea for you to take your dad/partner with you otherwise they may try and fob you off. Especially as your dad being in the business may be able to 'talk the talk'
You have spent a lot of money, and other issues aside you need a relaible car at the least.0 -
I will put the evidence to Vauxhall and give them the opportunity to give me a worthwhile solution. Bearing in mind I have paid for extras which already existed - I am hoping for 1 or 2 nice extras, its the least they can do given the trouble I have had and taxi fares paid out!
My mum thinks I should tell them to swap the car, but I don't think they have a similar model to the same spec (this has sat nav and a few extras).0 -
If you were told it had one previous owner, how many show on the V5?0
