craigmandy - there is an organistation - its called the Citizens Advice Bureau, they do this sort of thing day in day out and therefore are the best people to advise. Some also do home visits, call the local office before you go as most will prefer you to make an appointment because this type of works can take an hour or two.
Opps - just read that your local CAB did not help, I can't believe they said they were not qualified but pehaps you went down without an appointment, I know if someone comes into my CAB with a DLA we have to make an appointment for the client as we are often too busy to take a couple of hours on one client when 20 could be sitting waiting to be seen. I would call them again and ask to make an appoinment to discuss your DLA. If your CAB will not help call their head office and complain. there is also a national CAB helpline (depending which country you live in).0 -
dont think so its called spondylosithesis , not to be confused with spondylosis. i had an accident at work back in 1990 and it showed up in my mri scan , i had always suffered from pain in my back as a child but was told it was growing pains back then!0

i know of cab but they told me they are not qualified to deal with dla?? seems to be this area0

Have you tried the welfare officers? Dealing with DLA forms is a major part of their job.0 -
yeah i called them , as i cant get out,to see if they could get someone out to me as i thought what u said about this taking time,the man on the phone refused straight away , he gave me a number of some organisation but they replied me by saying just write to dla ,i have sent dla many letters,as im not at all mobile , i really need someone on my side with this im very scared and my deppression takes over , my doctor advised me not to go out unattended , i have one person to help me and i have nearly caused them to lose there job trying to help me!. i do believe the cab should help me, my speech is very slurred on medication and im slow and dissorientated most of the day i feel like a prisoner in my own home, sorry for all the poor me stuff but i really need help0
