dla advice, please help

hi can anyone please give me advice on what to do next
i have a spinal condition that i was born with and it has worsened with age,late last year i applied for dla , and was turned down , i since apealed and had a home visit from a atos doctor, i live alone i was moved here by my housing assoc because of the many stairs in the flat i used to live in and now i have 8 steps to my front door which i still struggle with,i have also been diagnosed with chronic depression and take medication for that and also my back condition,most of the day im spaced out and dissorientated,because of the medication so please except my spelling problems,i dont go out unattended and i have only one friend who helps me as much as they possibly can but for most of the day im alone and cant move about and cope very well,i have no familly around me and my nearest brother lives 125 miles away.
anyway to cut a long story short the dla doctor came spent most of the time watching my tv was totally not interested did a minimal examination on me , he could see i was in a lot of pain and a bit spaced out,he asked me to walk and i made 3 steps before losing balance with my crutch asked me usual questions all of which i awnsered i did get a bit drowsy and appologised for taking so long to complete the interview to which he said thats ok take as long as u want as the longer it goes on the more money i get paid ! all the time during the interview he was switching between my condition and the x factor on my tv. today i get a copy of his report, it is completely damning and totally the opposite saying basically that i can do this do that walk, 300 metres with no problems, go to the toilet myself,and the lies go on and on, im at my wits end with this my local cab said they are not qualified to help me? i cant go out during the day as i have no one to take me anywhere i take 6 different medications all of which i have to pay for myself, i give my friend money to come and see me , and they are like an angel to me, but my friend is on their 3 rd warning from work for taking time out to help me. my doctor has advised me not to go anywhere unattended,and now this rubbish from a doctor that spent most of the interview watching the x factor!!!
you might think by this letter that i cant be that bad as i can sit long enough to right this, but let me tell u that it has taken me 5 hours !
someone outthere please tell me what to do next i dont seem to be able to get help anywhere regarding this dla rubbish,and my appeal is coming up soon with this doctors damning report please please help

If CAB can't help, (they couldn't help me they might be able to put you in touch with people who can.

Do you have any medical evidence that states you can only walk so far?

yes my gp is fully aware that i cant walk far, i have tried to get help from organisations but all they tell me is to write to dla no one will do anything on my behalf which i need i have been treated by the hospital for 20 years back in the 90 s the specialist told me i have had all the treatment i can have ,it will get worse with age all he advised me to do was very mild physio
i did have spinal injections,physio,every medication under the sun

yes i have sent them everything the only thing they dont have is a up to date gp letter which i will get this week but dla are saying that they wont be asking for a letter from my gp so i suppose ill have to force the issue, i really do need help at home what they sent me today
is like a 100 page dossier basically what they will be putting forward to the tribunal including this atos doctors report

they sent me this letter for a home visit on a saturday morning telling me the visit was on the next day (sunday eve) i could not get anyone to be there with me in time i was totally spaced out as i just took my medication, im sorry but it makes me so angry that a doctor can visit you not be interested watch your tv then make such a lying report he has even put down that he observed that i could walk 300 metres unnatended ! when what really happened is i made 3 steps went to fall and he put his arms out to help,half of the stuff i told him is not in the report so why ask me

Any evidence you're better off getting yourself - instead of waiting for them to ask for it.

Your local council will be able to put you in touch with welfare officers who can help with DLA. In some areas, it is called DIAL.

Sorry to hear you are struggling so much. if you need help or adaptations it would be a good idea to contact your social services department to come and do an assessment and also contact your local occupational therapist adapdations department. The council should be able to give you this infomation.

i wish someone whos been through this could give me advice on what to do next
its so upsetting for me
all this help you hear about , i cant even get anyone to help me fill in forms there must be some organisation out there that can take up my claim or tell me what to do
