i sympathise BCS.....but I think i'd rather have scars and be alive than be a 'perfect' corpse
I'm not bothered about the scars, they cut off my normal breast when they weren't supposed took away all of the tissue & fat so that it can't be rebuilt.
I already had scars from my 1st op in 1997 when I was 24 so they don't bother me at all.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

you dont have a clue about anyone else conditions and most of us dont use them as an excuse to be a proffesional victim like you.
you are a hypocrite and you seem to forget posts that youve made in the past but other people dont.
Of course I dont have a clue about other peoples conditions.
I am autistic so dont have apathy, theory of mind etc.
I do feel sorry for people that are ill & going through a hard time though as im not a complete monster.
I can relate to people with mental health issues as thats the only issue that has really effected me for most of my adult life.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

And what do you think? Someone else's opinion can't drive you to suicide, only you can.“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”

I'm not using a no win no fee solicitor i'm using a reputable solicitor who has loads of experience with clinical negligence.

Ive met my barrister & my chances of winning are demed to be very good 85%.
I honestly don't know what I will do if I lose but i'm trying to not worry about it too much until it happens.
The pyschiatrist says i've suffered a major depressive episode as a direct result of the poor cosmetic result that ive been left with (I only have one breast) ironically the one that I lost didn't even have cancer & they were only supposed to be making it the same size as the one that had cancer.
She thinks I will commit suicide if I don't get it fixed as it impacts my self esteem so much.
I know you don't care but I have 3 children & a family that do care.
My settlement won't effect my benefits either as it will be put in a compensation trust fund for my further treatment.
Apart from taking my kids on a well deserved holiday & buying a new car I won't touch it.
I've alse been told I will only have to pay back my IB if I claimed it as a result of the treatment I had which I didn't.
Once i've paid to fix myself i'll be back art work so I won't be claiming anymore of your hard earned tax apart from DLA.
How can it not be as a result of the treatment? if you are claiming your depression was caused by the result of the surgery then that is "treatment".0

I took an overdose in 2007 & 2009 when I was at my lowest but I really don't know what I will do if I don't win.
I don't think I can live the rest of my live looking & feeling the way I do which is a really scary thought.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

Ive suffered from depression since 1998 & started claiming IB in 2006 after I was told my cancer had come back but before I had my op.
My depression got alot worse after my 5th/last surgery in 2008 when they told me that my I didn't have enough fat/tissue/skin to reconstruct my right breast (the one that didn't have cancer).I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

But you've been able to start and sustain a relationship since all this happened, and presumably that includes a sex life so you seemed to have got over that hurdle.
And breasts aren't womanhood...they are just lumps of fat and tissue. I have a fair set but if I only had 1 then I wouldn't think I wasn't a woman.
You'd leave your kids because you have one breast? You need to get things into perspective. It's a breast...you are still walking and talking and breathing.
And as for being 'mutilated' and 'assaulted'...lawyers will use any language to get business;)0

It doesn't work like that. You don't just get over something like cancer and certainly not if it's left you with problems. (physical and mental)Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
