Student summer benefits - paying rent

I am a breast cancer survivor & im proud of it.
I suffer from depression at the moment not just because i had cancer or because im autistic although those 2 things don't help.
If I win my court case against the hospital that has mutilated me (not my words but the medical expects that have examined me) i will have over £100,000 which i will use to pay for corrective surgery to try to make me look slighty normal which the experts don't even think is possible.
I will also pay for pyschotherapy to help beat the depression & anxiety that living for 10 years undergoing mamograms, ultrasounds & biopsies etc waiting for my cancer to come back caused me.
I have now lived 4 years mutilated & disfigured because the surgeon that was supposed to be saving my life was incompetant & cut off a perfectly healthy breast & took my lympth nodes without permission.
Lots of people have cancer & survive & im not saying that my case was worse or more serious because it wasn't but I have been mutilated & lost my womanhood at the age of 33 & that isn't right.
I don't care what any of you think of me as ive got enough on my plate at the moment.
I'm not saying i'm definitely having a baby either, i'm saying i would like one which may not even be possible.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

But were they healthy? When I had an operation 5 years ago, I had to sign a form that said if they found an unrelated issue, (such as appendix problems) they can sort that out.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I didnt mention my own disabilities, you brought it up as poor me as I knew you would do, never thinking that I could be not neuro typical and severly physically disabled myself, lets face it look at your user name.
ONW isnt Breast Cancer Victim, nor are any of the other MSE`s who have come through hell like myself but at every opertunity you drag it out and accuse people of having a go at you because you disabled.
And dont forget that you only got away with your boyfriend staying there after you IUC because you played the disability card there too.
You cant post attackting people on one hand while doing even worse yourself, that was why I posted a reply to you and that reason only.
Bitter? Twisted?, no just honest and someone who isnt a hypocrite like you.
Do you know what, I hate being autistic & would give anything to be normal, it causes me so much distress & pain.
If being disabled which having autism is classed as gives me more rights then I will use them to make my life more bearable & im not ashamed about it.
The reason I didn't get done for benefit fraud is because I hadn't commited benefit fraud, do you think the dwp would tell me im innocent if I wasn't?
I knew you had disabilities as ive seen some of your posts & I know onw has had cancer but it didn't cause her depression.
Everyone reacts differently to things & I didn't get depressed until after i'd been mutilated by the hospital & told that they were not prepared to put it right on the NHS even though they caused the problems.
I'm not a hypocrite, if people need benefits becasue they are too ill to work then they should be entited to them, ive never said otherwise.
As ive pointed out numerous times the quote you keep posting is in regard to the op's parents not wanting to financially support their child even though they can afford it because they work & are not ENTITLED to benefits.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

They were completely healthy, they don't need to take your lympth nodes unless they suspect your cancer has spread.
Both of my medical experts have said that there was no reason to take mine as my cancer was only in the early stages.
My surgeon never even mentioned taking my lympth nodes or explaining the complications & nor did I sign anything saying they could.
We are suing the hospital for negligence & what they did to me is classed as assault.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

you dont have a clue about anyone else conditions and most of us dont use them as an excuse to be a proffesional victim like you.
you are a hypocrite and you seem to forget posts that youve made in the past but other people dont.0 -

That will affect your benefit entitlement I suspect.0 -
Any settlement may be reduced on account of having to repay benefits already paid out too. That will affect your benefit entitlement I suspect.
Just in relation to the OP - I had a decision come back from a Decision Maker a week or two ago where student income was indeed discounted for the summer period - which kind of shocked me as I never thought that was done.
I'm not sure if that was due to the type of course, loan, or because of the benefit that was claimed. It might be that Income Support and JSA(IB) treat it differently.0 -

Yes, I believe some benefits do have to be repaid after reciept of compensation.
On PGCE courses all part time income is discounted for maintenance grant purposes.0 -
It was a full-time course with student loans and grants in place. No DLA or anything in payment - I always thought that would have meant excess income but not in this case.Yes, I believe some benefits do have to be repaid after reciept of compensation.

Yes she will have to pay back benefits if she gets an award (but since shes hopeing that the will just pay up without any hassle/trial etc. I doubt but no win, no fee merchants tell you anything and she will win in the virtual world even if not in real life;)) I had to pay back tens of thousands of pounds but that was factored into my award and that depends on having an experianced solicitor/barristor.0
