I got the Xylo case yesterday, ordered the blue, but they said there were problems so they sent a clear one and a screen protector for the inconvenience. They will send me a blue one when problems have been resolved, free of charge.

This was ordered from Amazon, it's a tough silicon gel case that fits the Desire tightly and protects it quite well. There are cut-outs for the camera, mic, speaker and USB connectors, button are covered around edges. Screen protector was easy to put on, just need a little patience and take your time. Still managed to get 1 air bubble around a tiny bit of grit but you cannot tell there is one fitted.

was it this 1 by any chance

    Hi...

If you want a quality case look no further than Noreve.

They're based in St Tropez. I bought a case for my old HTC from them and the quality and craftsmanship is the best I have ever seen for any mobile phone.

When I get my Desire I'll be buying this from them - http://www.noreve.com/brand/HTC/product/Housse_cuir_HTC_Desire_-_Google_Nexus_One_Tradition_C.html

...they aren't the cheapest at 37 Euro s plus P+P, but as I say, they are amazing quality.

tip - pay a bit more and upgrade to Exceptional Selection leather - well worth the extra 10 Euro s.

If you do want the above case, they're available for a whisker under £31 from here - http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/noreve-tradition-a-leather-case-for-htc-desire-p24199.htm

...note they are Traditional leather, not the much better and worth every penny Exceptional leather.

Case-Mate "Tough Case" is to be released soon, that will definitely be worth a look. I have one on my Nexus One and am very happy with it. Haven't had to test it out, but I feel pretty confident about it's protective capabilities.

I can't tell from the amazon picture but does the Xylo case cover the whole phone, including the screen?
I'm just looking for something that will protect from scratches etc and I like the idea of the silicon case.

The screen itself is not covered by the case, I use a screen protector film for that. However the case does have a lip all around the edge which holds it firmly in place and this does protect the screen as well. If I put the phone face down on a table, only the case is in contact with the surface, so the screen and buttons are protected.

Smash, is it a desire case or is it a Nexus One case that also fits a Desire?

I've got a simialr case designed for a nexus One on mine at the moment and although it's OK and fits well I'd like to get a proper Desire case at some point.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

Definitely a Desire case, had a cardboard picture of the Desire inside and the cut outs match exactly for camera, flash, USB etc.
