This certainly makes you think....I was going to give 'relationship' a 0/10 because I'm not in one although I would dearly love to be.......but then I thought about how happy I was when I divorced first husband and how being on my own must be better than being in a bad or abusive relationship so now having no relationship gets a 5/10......and as the thing I most want to change in my life is my inability to make decisions this could go on for a while lol!

Thats actually a really good point Birdlady - and one that I'd overlooked. I think I'll have another bash at the homework tomorrow, when I don't have to go to work. Have also printed out the Wheel of Life from the link that Bob found. I've always liked circles so maybe that will make me feel a tad more positive about things.

Wow....having done my homework and been brutally honest, I can see just how much work I need to do to get all areas of my life on an even keel.

Elantan - I came up with 10 categories to "score" and 5 is the highest score I could give any and that was scoring my relationship with my son.

    Am really rather concerned now...

Try not to be too concerned about it ... Your gonna fix it remember :).... But it is excellent you are being honest with yourself ....

I can't DO any exercise micron as I am stuck on crutches AND have chronic pain and CFS so that is right out (and I used to be a runner )

Ah Dragon, poor you. I am impressed with how you still manage to get so much done even whilst you are on crutches and in such pain. You are an inspiration.

    Thanks for the thoughts, Cath.
I have had problems in the past with the wheel of life as it seemed to assume that being in a relationship / having a family was the norm and anyone who was on their own had an imbalance in their lives.

Happy New Life to all :D,

some really great posts here & thanks especially to birdlady & Crafty scholar for bringing up the 'single vs relationship' issue.

I've been single for about 18 months now & can honestly say that for the first time in my life I am truly happy with that at the moment, so although single I would still give the 'personal relationships' area of my life a 9/10 :).

Will ponder on the rest ...
  • Just thought you may like to know there is a free newsletter if you sign up to the site- re the wheel of life. It gives you a free download for doing so called stress busters. Very interesting reading and little bit of homework to do- it is all linked.
